I generally post nostalgic #MUFC stuff. My football opinion is as often wrong as it is correct. Dublin GAA. I'm partial to a political debate.

Shorts

Michael Carrick was a fucking magnificent player for United. A model professional who loves this club. He's even been a season ticket holder himself Criticism is warranted. He knows that better than anyone. But show some fucking class when criticising him. Whatever pain we're feeling, he's feeling it more. And unlike most managers who come and go, when this is all over, he'll still be one of us.

Roy Keane was giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a real slagging (again) on The Overlap for his miss against Bayer Leverkusen in the European Cup Semi Final in 2002. Was Roy being harsh in blaming Ole for not getting us into the final 😂

25 years ago today, the much loved Les Sealey sadly passed away, aged just 43. 🙏 A massive character and a man who will always have a special place in United history. That performance in the 1990 FA Cup Final replay alone ensured that. Gone far too young. RIP Les ❤️

Roy Keane was out of order using his massive platform to have a go at Carrick's wife today. For background, on Twitter she called him a c**t following Keano's comments in the video below. She deleted her post and apologised for it. Keano needs to learn to let things go 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

A quarter of a century ago today: Manchester United sensationally sold Jaap Stam to Lazio. Personally I never believed Fergies excuses at the time or since about selling Stam. I strongly suspect that Fergie found out about the steroids and he wouldn't have wanted anything to tarnish the treble. None of Fergie's excuses for selling him every made sense & he was never afraid to bend the truth. There's no evidence that Fergie knew. It's just a theory I've never been able to shake. One hell of a coincidence, though...

#OnThisDay 22nd August 1999: Nick Culkin made history‼️ Raimond van der Gouw was forced off injured and 19-year-old Culkin was called from the bench to make his United debut. He took one free-kick. The referee blew for full-time. That one kick would be the entirety of his United career. It was the shortest debut in Premier League history ⏱️
