James, none of this would have happened had you just admitted that you misspoke. These things happen. It's usually not a big deal. The reason it's become a big deal is because of your pride. And now, you're doubling down! And btw, even if you were referring to the letters and not the man, you’d be wrong: the consensus in favor of the middle recension is stable (see below).
