Michelle Mone's husband Barrowman has issued a "statement" this morning after The Times and Sunday Times report showing the National Crime Agency is investigating a £3 million payment into Mone's Coutts bank account, which would prove her direct benefit from the PPE Medpro contract as well as indirectly through trusts. The statement is full of "look over there", fundamental lies (we saved the govt £100 million - they didn't) & obfuscation. Who'd have thought it? Obfuscation is where he doesn't mention that he didn't declare his interest on company filings- nowhere on the Companies House declarations at the time. She didn't declare her interest on official documents, she lied consistently (par for the course), threatened press with libel, lied to her lawyers, lied about her lawyers "they told me to lie" - they didn't. Now their defence about getting £65 million profit and pandemic profiteering is saying "I'm not the only one who robbed the public, they're picking on me, it's not fair" There is so much which needs to be investigated with other companies too. We've been saying this for a long time. Rachel Reeves has promised a Covid CORRUPTION Commissioner to investigate them if Labour win the next election. More to follow with data..... NEW - THE VIP FILES Part One 🔍🗄️📂 I'm working with Good Law Project on never before seen data about the VIP PPE Lane. #TheVIPFiles today... 🔹 £3.8 billion contracts for Tory associates and donors for just PPE through the VIP Lane and the govt went further 🔹It turns out the Government massively overpaid on stock through the VIP Lane too....by at least £925 MILLION. 🔹On average the cost per item of PPE through the VIP LANE was 80% MORE than through the USUAL NHS supplier channels. 🔹Sometimes it was much higher. 🔹For instance, the price of a protective gown through standard suppliers at that time was £5.87. 🔹Through the VIP Lane, Meller Designs Ltd was paid more than twice the price at £12.64 per gown. 🔹The company made unprecedented profit that year. 🔹David Meller (of Meller Designs) an associate of Michael Gove, has donated almost £70,000 to the Conservative party since 2009. 🔹More than a quarter of the VIP Lane stock WAS UNUSABLE. 🔹Another company based offshore in a tax haven received an enormous contract and yet £145 million of their stock was useless. The referral for that company to the VIP LANE came from a Tory adviser to Liz Truss. 🔹All these contracts were given preferential treatment even tho most had no previous experience in PPE. 🔹A company was 10 times more likely to get OUR money through the VIP Lane than through being a usual NHS PPE supplier. We've had 5000 days of Tory Rule today 😳 I've done some maths 🔹Since May 2010, the NATIONAL DEBT HAS INCREASED, on average, by a staggering £380 MILLION A DAY - EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR #5000DAYS Which begs the question.... Where has all our money gone? I wouldn't trust the Tories with my shopping list, let alone the economy 😡 FACTS David Cameron became PM, after Gordon Brown, on May 11th 2010, 5000 days ago. In June 2010 he said the national debt was £770 billion (other sources quote £903 billion, but I'll use HIS £770 billion for the calculation) By end Nov 2023 the National Debt had grown to a colossal £2,670 billion (Source:ONS) That's an increase of £1,900 billion. Divide that by 5,000 days of Tory Rule and gross mismanagement. It means an increase, on average, of c£380 million every single day for 5,000 days. #GeneralElectionN0W
