On this day in 1997, Derek Anderson, after not having played since tearing his ACL in January, Derek comes in cold off the bench and hits two clutch technical free throws in Kentucky's 78-69 win over Minnesota at the Final Four in Indianapolis to send the Wildcats to its second of three straight NCAA title games. "It was a piece of cake," Anderson said after.
