Former Kentucky head coach John Calipari is backing the SEC’s new eligibility rules amid the ongoing situation with Mark Mitchell and others “I like what the SEC is doing. If a player doesn’t like what the SEC is doing, what? Go to another league. And if a coach doesn’t like what the SEC is doing?” Calipari said. “Go to another league, which they’re free to do,” Andy Katz interjected. “Just do it. Make it hard. Do it right,” Calipari responded. With Mitchell’s eligibility battle continuing, many will be watching to see if he and others will become eligible. 😼 #BBN

Unbelievable, how on earth is that 2-point-conversion successful? The ball did not cross the line in the Jets vs Bengals game!

I wonder what other programs are saying about Kentucky and Mark Pope now… 👀 After landing Milan Momcilovic AND Mark Mitchell, I have to imagine the jokes from around college basketball have changed pretty quickly. Kyle Tucker previously said rival coaches and GMs were joking behind the scenes and questioning what exactly Mark Pope was building at Kentucky. Now? They might want to take another look at that roster. 😼🔥 #BBN

John Calipari isn’t holding back. After Mark Pope compared his first two years to the end of Calipari’s tenure earlier this week, John Calipari fired back with what sounded like a clear shot at Kentucky: “There are a lot of people who have no recruits, no idea who’s coming back, who don’t have the money you had a year ago.” Tensions rising 👀🍿#BBN H/T: Steven Peake

We now know what Kentucky guard Otega Oweh said to Tennessee forward Jaylen Carey and it explains a lot. You can listen to see why Carey shoved Oweh, leading to the scuffle at the end of the game. Things got real heated in those final seconds. 😳🔥 #BBN

Back in March, after Arkansas was eliminated, John Calipari had an interesting quote that many took as a shot at Mark Pope and Kentucky after Pope compared his first two seasons at UK to Calipari’s final few years in Lexington. Calipari said: “There are a lot of people who have no recruits, no idea who’s coming back, who don’t have the money you had a year ago.” Fast forward five months… Mark Pope has built an incredible Kentucky team featuring: PG: Zoom Diallo SG: lex Wilkins SF: Milan Momcilovic PF: Mark Mitchell C: Malachi Moreno Funny how things can change in five months. Dark Pope is cooking. 👀🔥 #BBN

La Familia head coach Jon Hood defended GM Twany Beckham after the team’s road loss to The Ville, with La Familia missing several key players. Hood said the team is doing everything it can to add players, but roster changes aren’t always in their control. “Twany Beckham does this for 11 months out of the year. He will start as soon as this thing ends. I have seen the texts, I have seen him on the phone, I have heard everything. At some point, everybody’s got to realize this ain’t on Twany." #BBN

Kyle Tucker of 247Sports said on Uninterrupted by Matt Jones that other programs are questioning what Mark Pope is building and even joking behind the scenes. 😳 “They are. I mean, yeah, I think just in some certain circles, yeah. I talked to some coaches that like there are jokes being made, I mean. I've talked to a couple GMs. I still have a Lexington phone number. I've talked to a couple GMs and when they answer the phone and they go, ‘I thought Mark Pope was finally calling to to see to realizing he needed a GM and I was going to have to go to my boss and ask for more money.’” “You know, I think there's a lot of it's like maybe it's not just like straight up making fun, but it's more like, ‘I'm not sure what they're doing. I'm not sure what they're trying to accomplish.’” Big next few weeks ahead for Kentucky. 😼 #BBN

I keep going back to that Auburn vs. Kentucky game last year, where Mark Pope brought almost no energy, the players were just sitting there barely clapping, meanwhile Bruce Pearl had Auburn fired up, players yelling, chanting, and huddling up as a team. I just want to see Pope bring that same fire and hold his guys accountable. This program needs juice again. 🔥🏀 #BBN

Kentucky football head coach Will Stein after his first spring game: “We need everybody in this room to continue to improve and grow. We ain’t nowhere where the fk we need to be, but man we are on our way. I want to play with swag and confidence, like we can’t be stopped. The only people who can stop us is us. That’s it. We are going to play to f*g win every dn game. This crew has got to continue to connect and come together over the next four months. We’ve got to keep pushing.” 😼 #BBN

Mark Pope opened up about the emotional toll of coaching at Kentucky, sharing how overwhelming the pressure can feel at times. It was an honest reminder that even successful leaders struggle behind the scenes. “I spend a lot of time, feel like I would like to curl up in bed and kill myself.” Wishing him strength and support mental health matters. 💙 #BBN

Mark Pope is taking a unique approach to building chemistry ahead of his third season at Kentucky. 🏀 All 14 scholarship players will live together in the Wildcat Coal Lodge this summer as the Wildcats begin an eight-week stretch of workouts, skill instruction, conditioning, and team bonding starting June 15. "The guys are all living in the lodge full-time during the course of the summer," Pope said. The Wildcats will also stay active in the community, with Pope emphasizing that building relationships off the court is just as important as what happens on it. 😼 #BBN

Former Kentucky and Detroit Pistons forward Tayshaun Prince had one of the greatest blocks in NBA history. 😼 Prince came out of nowhere to block Reggie Miller’s game-tying layup attempt in the 2004 Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers. To this day, many NBA fans still debate if Tayshaun Prince’s iconic chase-down block or LeBron James’ Game 7 block in the 2016 NBA Finals against the Warriors was better. One of the greatest defensive plays basketball has ever seen. #BBN🏀🔥
