😱— WOW: Chaldeans from around the world gathered with their patriarch for Mass in St. Peter's Basilica, celebrated according to the Chaldean rite. One of Christianity's oldest liturgical traditions, its beautiful prayers and chants in Aramaic-the language of Jesus-echoed through the basilica. #catholic #catholicism #vatican #chaldean #aramaic Credit Romy🦢

Ask a Protestant what the “pillar and foundation of the truth” is and you’ll probably hear: the Bible. But 1 Timothy 3:15 says it’s “the Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.” Christ entrusted His teaching to the Apostles. Through that apostolic Church, Sacred Tradition was preserved and Scripture was handed down to us. You can reject the Catholic Church, but you can’t pretend the Bible appeared independently of the Church that preserved it.
