As a child, every summer meant the Damascus International Fair. My uncle worked for a participating company, we’d run around, play, explore the pavilions, till midnight. All these years later, it is an absolute honour to MC the opening of the 63rd Damascus International Fair. 🇸🇾

The Iranian cultural center in the middle of Damascus old town, the forced us out of our homes, where we had to be flee their war crimes in boats, lose our children, and loved ones in the oceans. Today we regain our Syria, one for all of us, and not for foreigners.

In early May, Ursula von der Leyen visited Lebanon to announce $1 billion in aid to Lebanon in an EU-Lebanon migration control deal. Now the Lebanese authorities have started forcibly deporting Syrian refugees in Lebanon back to Syria, where they face risks of detention, torture, and death.
