The K-pop group Riize has been at the center of controversy after it announced the return of one of its original members, Seunghan, then backtracked after receiving criticism. Decarlos Brown Jr. has been charged with first-degree murder and, according to CNN, has prior convictions and a history of mental illness, including schizophrenia. Hundreds are signing a petition calling for the dismissal of a Sturgeon, Missouri, police officer who shot and killed Teddy, a blind, 13-pound dog. According to a Facebook post by the Sturgeon Police Department, the officer thought the dog, who didn’t have a collar or tags, was “behaving strangely” and displaying signs of “rabid behavior.” The officer, per the statement, “felt that his only option was to put the animal down.” He later learned that his behavior was due to blindness.
