It began with 0.6 grams of MDMA in New Mahe. The investigation did not stop there. Kannur Police followed the trail through phone records, bank transactions, intermediaries and multiple States — all the way to Delhi. That trail has now led to the arrest of two foreign nationals whom police allege were involved in manufacturing and supplying MDMA. This is what #OperationToofan is about: follow the drug, find the network, go to the source.

Why reopen a case from 2006 now? Because a fresh petition has raised serious questions about the KSTP matter, the death of project manager Lee See Been, and what happened to the earlier inquiry. I have asked Vigilance to examine the record and proceed according to law. The truth must come out. Full video in English and Hindi is attached in the replies below.

Operation Toofan continues to deal a heavy blow to the drug mafia. Had a productive discussion with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Shri C. Joseph Vijay regarding the anti-drug fight in both states. It has been agreed that both states will work in tandem, ensuring joint patrolling and seamless intelligence sharing at the borders. A warm welcome to him as he expressed his full support for Operation Toofan and promised to visit Kerala soon! 🤝🤝 #OperationToofan #SayNoToDrugs TVK Vijay Vijay CMOTamilNadu

As part of 'Operation Toofan', Kerala has seized its largest-ever MDMA haul in the history of the state's anti-narcotic drives. A 97-gram seizure in Malappuram led investigators straight to this massive 13 kg consignment. Operation Toofan is currently targeting the root of a major mafia network smuggling synthetic drugs into Kerala. With over 10,000 arrests made so far under Operation Toofan, it proves just how deep our law enforcement has penetrated this network... The storm of Operation Toofan will sweep away this death-peddling mafia... That is the promise the Kerala Government and I give to this land... We will uproot drugs completely. #OperationToofan

"Didn’t I say it back then... our children are their targets. Recently in Kasaragod, 'Operation Toofan' seized 'Cool Lip'—a banned tobacco/narcotic product smuggled inside candy wrappers. The drug mafia designed this with the cruel intent of making school children mistake it for ordinary candy. I have only one question for this drug mafia: Would you give this to your own children? No, right! Then why are you destroying other people's children for money? The sole mission of 'Toofan: The Narco Hunt' is to uproot this mafia that is pushing an entire generation into darkness. Dear parents, I urge you—this is a time for extreme vigilance. Talk openly with your kids, trust the police completely, and stand by them. We must guide our children on how to identify and stay away from such traps. We are in this fight together! 🤝 #OperationToofan #SayNoToDrugs #ProtectOurChildren #KeralaPolice #Vigilance"

The embers of this pain never fade. Rajiv ji was the rising sun of my political life, bringing a person from an ordinary village into India's mainstream politics. That dark night in Sriperumbudur and the endless tears will never be forgotten. The day a nation wept was also my greatest personal loss. He was a phenomenon who taught India to dream. Modern India’s first steps were born from his vision—one that cannot be extinguished by a blast or erased by time. It will burn bright as long as history exists. Heartfelt tributes to his unforgettable memory. 🙏 #RajivGandhi

Project Zero, the new action plan of the Vigilance department aimed at wiping out corruption, was announced today in Thiruvananthapuram. This initiative has been launched with the firm conviction that receiving services without corruption is a right of the people. Members of the public who capture video evidence of bribery demands in government offices and upload them to the official Vigilance portal will be rewarded with ₹5,000. The identities of those providing information will be kept strictly confidential. The government will not tolerate any corrupt officials. On this occasion, I assure you that the 1969 Vigilance Manual will be updated to reflect modern times, and surprise inspections will continue strictly. Let us stand together for a corruption-free Kerala.
