The worst has happened. The fuel tanker just exploded and caught fire. At this rate I cannot tell if there are casualties but the economic loss is insane as this happened besides a market(Oluku Market)

Again, even as soldiers are deployed to the scene with sticks and belts to stop the locals from scooping fuel for their own safety, the people continue to ignore these warnings, putting their lives in direct danger just to scoop spilled petrol. Now, people may be tempted to ask: since the locals are motivated by extreme poverty and political instability, why not use this same energy to storm embassies, occupy airports, and take over government parastatals to demand a complete overhaul of the oppressive governments looting their wealth on behalf of global powers? The simple answer is that poverty will never motivate them into this level of revolutionary consciousness, because that is not how poverty works. A poor man who sleeps with an empty stomach cannot afford the luxury of dreaming about acquiring advanced degrees or learning a new skill from scratch. The only thing on his mind is how to satisfy his immediate survival needs, which include, but are not limited to, begging family and friends for food or taking predatory loans from loan sharks. It is always strictly about immediate survival. This is exactly what Vladimir Lenin repeatedly emphasized in his revolutionary essays. Left to themselves, the working class will only develop "trade union consciousness." They will demand better pay and better working conditions within the existing economic configuration, but they will never spontaneously stage a revolution to dismantle the entire capitalist system that is holding them hostage. This is why most of the color revolutions that have occurred across the Global South and Eastern Europe have almost exclusively been funded by global empires. They are engineered specifically to remove sovereign governments that dare to stand upright against imperialism or attempt to use their national resources to better their people against the interests of global capital. For this reason, expecting the poor masses in Nigeria to spontaneously rise up, overthrow their oppressive government, and revoke the exploitative contracts of American oil majors and global conglomerates feasting on Nigeria's wealth will never happen. The poor will always be preoccupied with feeding their families and keeping their failing micro-businesses afloat; they simply do not have the time or the luxury to engage in protracted revolutionary struggles. Whether Nigeria will ever experience a genuine revolution ultimately rests on the shoulders of the politically conscious middle class. It requires a vanguard that possesses the capital, the theoretical knowledge, and the experience in logistics and cybernetics to organize the masses and lead them in waging a structural war against the political class that has turned Nigeria into a neo-colonial slave plantation for the benefit of global empires.
