World leaders (especially in Europe) need to understand something: you cannot truly support the Iranian people without recognising Reza Pahlavi as the ONLY opposition leader. There is no one else. He is the one they have chosen to lead them into democracy. Anything less than that is to spit in the face of those who’ve been massacred while shouting his name. I used to believe that being on the Left meant that you were a good person. That you cared about injustice and you wanted to oppose evil. But I was wrong. It’s all about narratives. Outrage is only appropriate if it follows the scripted narrative. Over the past few years, I’ve seen people on the Left support/excuse some of the most barbaric, anti human entities on this planet. Many people who portrayed themselves as bleeding hearts, turned out to be rabid West-hating, terrorist supporters—full of hate. It feels like the world was violently thrown upside down. But hey, perhaps it was always like this. I just didn’t see the twisted ideology for what it is.

I’m not Iranian, and even I’m exhausted by the gaslighting, the outright lies and the twisting of truth. The Iranian people have to fight lies on multiple fronts, from multiple enemies. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. It’s actually horrifying to see a world ignore the voices of 90 million people. I proudly stand—and speak—in support of them. A free Iran is a better world for everyone.
