On August 13th, the first steam generator for the 4th unit of the SPIC Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant was successfully lifted and positioned. The steam generator is the heaviest and largest single piece of main equipment in the primary circuit of the island-type reactor, with a diameter of approximately 5.6 meters, a length of about 24.3 meters, and a net weight of around 633.1 tons. The installation of the first steam generator has laid a solid foundation for the connection of the primary circuit of the nuclear island reactor and the topping-out of the reactor building.
