Sometimes navigating real world situations is more important than being technologically correct. My honest opinion.

There are 3 types of engineers that would encounter this question. This first type gives the default answer. The second gives a textbook correct answer. The third asks a question back.

For me the beginner lesson is fine. But the example was a bad one to teach it in.

The average Nigerian poultry farmer loses 15-20% of their birds. What if we could fight that with real-time monitoring? I am building a sensor that monitors environmental conditions inside the farmhouse. This is the hardware side to SmartFarmAI. It eventually feeds into ML models that help detect early signs of diseases like Newcastle before symptoms appear. The first step is blinking an LED. It doesn’t look like much yet, but this is the hello world of hardware and the foundation of precision agriculture for poultry farms in Nigeria.

How do you stop one customer from seeing another customer's data when they're all on the same database? I've been building SmartFarmAI in Rust farms from 550 to 60,000 birds all sharing one PostgreSQL database. This is the full breakdown: → Schema design with composite foreign keys → PostgreSQL Row-Level Security policies → Actix-web middleware for per-request tenant context → The connection pool bug that causes silent data leaks → Why my background worker processed zero events for hours 22 min. Full code walkthrough
