Brayden Burries vs. Kansas 20 points (6/10 FG | 2/4 3pt | 6/6 FT) 12 rebounds 5 assists 1 steal 0 turnovers (I counted 1 turnover but box score says 0) Burries' defense really stood out to me against Kansas. He's a smart team defender with a high level of spacial awareness, consistently stunting and recovering, digging at ball handlers, and in the right spot in rotations. He does a good job staying in front of ball handlers and walling up around rim without fouling. Burries is just a really smart player on both ends. There were several instances of him setting his defender up and waiting until they turned their head or adjusted their position, and he quickly got down hill. I think there's potential for him to be able to attack the rim from a standstill without a screen. He showed a few pocket passes to bigs out of P&R, and I think he's quick and strong enough to turn the corner against most P&R coverages. He has good shooting indicators - 46.3% on 82 non-rim twos (78.9% unassisted rate), 8.1 3pt attempts per 100 possessions, and 83.5% on free throws on 79 attempts in 20 games against top 100 opponents (77.3% overall on 119 attempts for the season). Processing indicators are good too - 2.9 steal% and 2.1 assist to turnover ratio. Anecdotally, he may be the best player on a top 3 team in the country. Burries looks like a big time prospect, and it will be difficult for me to keep him out of my personal top 10. He's a bit of a tweener guard, but I think at worst he's a secondary creator with primary upside. I will be paying close attention to his athro measurements at the combine.

Nate Ament vs. Kentucky 29 points (10/17 FG | 4/6 3pt | 5/6 FT) 8 rebounds 3 assists 1 steal 4 turnovers 35 minutes Ament has raised his level since the start of SEC play. Tennessee has continued to feature him offensively (27.1 usage in conference), and his efficiency has increased since his slow start to the season. As he grows into his frame by adding core and lower body strength, it will be harder for defenses to knock him off his spot or stop him from getting to better spots on the floor, where he's a talented shot maker. He showed the ability to shoot over the top of smaller defenders. Ament struggles creating on ball without the help of a screen, but he showed several good P&R possessions, finding the roll man with passes or getting his shot off. He's a bit heavy-footed and will struggle staying in front of smaller, quicker players - his length does allow him to recover better than others. Two big swing factors that will ultimately determine Ament's ceiling - improved strength and quicker decision making on the ball.

Collin Murray-Boyles vs Florida CMB is a pretty special two-way prospect. he has a high level understanding of team defense, constantly calling out other teams actions, tagging rollers/cutters and helping the helper. he can play most, if not all, P&R coverages offensively CMB is a very good passer, quickly processing defensive coverages to find the open man. he posses good footwork and patience as a scorer around the rim, using his 7ft+ wingspan to score over contests. he's an excellent screener and DHO hub. incredibly scalable on both ends CMB and zion are the only two high major underclassmen to have 60+ eFG%, 10+ oReb%, 15+ assist% and 3+ steal%. i had him 5 preseason, and he's played like a top-5 pick
