With #Chennai battered by heavy rains over the past few days, Opposition Leader #UdhayanidhiStalin has chosen to fly to Dubai. It is the people of his own Chepauk - Thiruvallikeni constituency who are left to face the rain and flooding, while their elected representative is away. #DMK

There are reports on television claiming that VCK leader #Thirumavalavan travelled in a car bearing registration number TN 07 CM 2031. However, when the registration number is searched, it appears to be registered to a two-wheeler. Hope Greater Chennai Traffic Police looks into this and clarifies the discrepancy.

Where is our society going when women (#WomenSafety) are unsafe in #Tamilnadu and #Kerala? Public spaces are becoming places of fear, where offenders act without consequences and victims are expected to stay quiet. Tamilnadu keeps reporting shocking numbers of sexual assault cases, while Kerala sees these incidents happening openly. Still, both so-called model governments present themselves as advocates for women’s safety. The difference between their claims and what is happening on the ground is growing, and women are the ones suffering.

Honourable Governor, during a phone conversation on Republic TV, reportedly said, "If Vijay has 118, I am ready for the oath ceremony tomorrow. I am not trying to stop anyone, but to protect democracy. Whoever comes with the numbers, I'm ready." #TVKVijay #DMK #AIADMK #TNGovernor

I've just confirmed and gone through the complete press meet visuals. The video is not AI generated, but I'm still not sure what exactly was spoken because the version I saw had no audio. Reporters who attended the press meet have also confirmed the visuals. #Coimbatore CMOTamilNadu Cross verified and could confirm that this did happen. Some channels seem to have unlisted the video, possibly because the visuals did not include any briefing related to the Coimbatore incident. Tamil Nadu Police

Within just 10 days of coming to power, Nakkheeran Gopal speaks as though the previous #DMK government had transformed everything overnight and as if the #TVKVijay government has not even achieved half of that. Yet, when RTI requests were filed seeking data on crime figures during the previous DMK regime, a government and a party he supported and continues to support, the response was reportedly that no such data was available with them. In this situation, he now claims the authority to lecture the TVK government. These are the same Nakkheeran people who entered Selvi J. Jayalalithaa's residence without permission and recorded videos of her personal belongings. Do publications with such a history really have the credibility to preach accountability to others? Is that the standard of journalism that gives yellow publications like Nakkheeran the moral authority to lecture others?
