I just chanced on this video online and if it’s true, then it means Abronye has done to Afenyo Markin what Nii Lante Vanderpuye did to Sammy Gyamfi. With Afenyo being one of the current ‘star players’ of the NPP, Abronye shouldn’t have publicly addressed his disagreements with Afenyo on the GoldBod losses the way he did in the video. This clearly undermines Afenyo’s position as Minority leader of NPP considering he’s a regional chairman of the party. This is unpardonably wrong and shows gross disloyalty to party. So after this, how does Abronye want Ghanaians to regard subsequent information from Afenyo which he agrees with? Have you seen how majority of people online currently sharing this video in attempts to discredit and ridicule Afenyo are affiliated to the NDC? This was the same thing days ago with Nii Lante Vanderpuye’s video undermining Sammy Gyamfi, it was being shared by NPP folks all over to discredit and ridicule Sammy Gyamfi. I hold a principled position on the matter from a political comms strategy standpoint and it cuts both ways. This act should be condemned in the spirit of overall political party organisational brand comms strategy.

Justifications like ‘it’s his personal money’ for a public office holder, can’t suffice for sound judgment..politicians must be mindful of the optics..this communicates opulence and in the current context of Ghanaian politics, this is dangerous for the NDC govt brand, it’s wrong!

Unfortunately, I’m not in Ghana at the moment to join the concerned citizens in the streets of Accra protesting against illegal mining (galamsey). This is my version of the #StopGalamseyNow & #FreetheCitizens protest. We demand urgent action from the government!
