![[HAPPENING TODAY] The case against suspended SAPS Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola and other accused in the controversial SAPS/Medicare 24 contract has been postponed to August 28. The state says that as a result of Medicare 24 boss Vusimusi "Cat" Matlala's case being separated from these accused means there needs to be amendments to the charges sheet. The State says that as a result of Matlala's proceedings yesterday, where he pleaded guilty to all charges, agreed to turn state witness and expose other high profile SAPS officials, there might also be additional accused added, that is why it has not finalized the charge sheet. The state also says during this postponement period, the docket will be transferred to the USB's of all the legal teams representing the accused. #sabcnews](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2070416303643365734/ext_tw_video_thumb/2070415461385166848/pu/img/smPXGhDhmDV4LGkM.jpg)
![JUST IN Police have now confirmed an inquest docket has been registered after a 41-year-old man allegedly shot and killed himself at a filling station in Brakpan on Saturday, 07 February 2025. SAPS says all role players including police detectives and forensic experts attended to the crime scene and the matter is under investigation. Community members that #SABCNews spoke to say it is Wiandre Pretorius who survived a hit on Friday. Pretorious was named by Witness D, Marius Van Der Merwe, at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, before he was assassinated last year. Pretorius was said to be amongst those linked to the dumping of the body of Emmanuel Mbense in a dam in Brakpan in 2022, allegedly on the instruction of Ekurhuleni metro police officers. EXCLUSIVE #AneleTembe #AKA In the first-ever wide-ranging exclusive interview, Moses Tembe the father of late AKA's fiance, the late Anele Tembe, speaks to me on the 3rd anniversary of his daughter's death and the long wait for answers on how her body came to be found on the ground from the 10th floor of a Cape Town hotel. He tells me: - 'We wanted Kiernan (AKA) in the box as either a witness or suspect' - 'I object to anyone saying Kiernan killed our daughter. The evidence at the inquest into her death will tell us exactly what happened.' - 'Our hearts are shattered and gutted' - 'To see my daughter on TV covered in foil was traumatic' - 'At the time I knew she wouldn't strip naked and throw herself down' -' At the time we expected a prosecution' -' Police never approached him regarding AKA's death' And blames the NPA in the Western Cape for delay in the resumption of the inquest into Anele's death. ONLY ON #SABCNEWS channel 404 on DSTV from 9am, 11am, 2pm and also on @SABCFullView from 5pm...
