The promise of Divine Mercy Sunday isn’t small. It’s not symbolic. It’s not “just another devotion.” It’s HUGE. Jesus promises the complete forgiveness of all sin AND all punishment …the kind of grace you’d expect from a plenary indulgence. And the “requirements”? Confession. Holy Communion. That’s it. So go to Confession and go to Mass this Divine Mercy Sunday. I’m telling you…don’t miss this. Watch the full video to learn more from Fr. Alar of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. How do you know if it's God speaking to you, or the enemy, or just your own voice in your head? This Sunday, Catholic churches around the world are reading John 10, one of my favorite passages in all of Scripture - about the Good Shepherd who calls his sheep by name and leads them to life abundant. But to follow that voice, you have to be able to recognize it. In this reflection, I'm breaking down 5 practical, St. Ignatius-inspired ways to discern the voice of God from the voice of the enemy and sharing a few powerful stories, including a miraculous healing at Lourdes and a moving journal entry from my wife's conversion at World Youth Day 1993, when she heard the voice of her shepherd and could never unhear it. "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." - John 10:10

Jesus says something extraordinary in John 14: "If you love me, keep my commands. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete to be with you forever." Most of us have heard that word — Paraclete — without ever really sitting with what it means. I guarantee that if you've been Catholic for 20, 40, even 90 years, you may have never heard it talked about quite this way. The word doesn't translate neatly into English. It can mean Advocate, Counselor, Comforter — but none of those words alone capture it. It's the one who comes alongside you. The one who coaches you, defends you, encourages you, and stirs you forward. Jesus isn't just sending a force or a feeling. He's sending a Person — the Holy Spirit — to be with you and in you. And then Jesus says this: "I will not leave you orphans." That's the promise. You are not navigating this life alone. The same Spirit that hovered over the waters at creation, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead — that Spirit is available to you, right now, in the middle of your ordinary life.

Let this sink in: The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared on cactus fiber that should’ve fallen apart in 30 years. It’s been 500. Infrared scans found no brushstrokes. No known paint. Experts say it’s more like a projection than a painting. When ammonia spilled on it, it healed. When a bomb exploded in front of it, it didn’t even crack. 500 years later, it looks exactly like it did when Juan Diego opened his cloak. Hallelujah. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us! (This was shot in the rain walking up Tepeyac Hill where Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared! Watch the full video:

Every person who nailed Jesus to the cross thought they were a pretty good person. The soldiers? Just doing their job. The Pharisees? Protecting the system. Pontius Pilate? Just trying to keep his career on track. They all gave themselves a free pass. And we do the exact same thing. Watch my Palm Sunday reflection to hear why that matters, and why it should change everything about how you enter Holy Week. When we read the Passion at Mass on Palm Sunday, we are forced to say the ugliest lines out loud—"Crucify him!"—because those aren't just ancient words. They're our words, every time we fall into sin. And I'm not saying this to make you feel bad. I'm saying it to make you feel grateful. Because when you see how ugly sin really is, you finally see how far God was willing to go for you. You couldn't pay the price for a single sin. He paid it all. As you enter into Holy Week, stop giving yourself free passes. Look your sin in the face. Take it to confession. And then look at the cross and say thank you. I'll be praying for you.

This is the most important project we’ve ever done. In partnership with Hallow and Franciscan University, Real Life Catholic is on a mission to capture back a generation of teens who are lost. CORE is a new Confirmation prep experience built for modern teens to help them reclaim their identity as beloved sons and daughters of a loving Father. Production is already underway and we need your support. Together we can make a generational impact on the Church. Our children and grandchildren need to be reminded WHO they are and WHOSE they are. If you’re watching this and grief has just knocked you to your knees…this is for you. Mark says nobody gets out of this life without suffering. Divorce. Addiction. Illness. Loss. When it brings you down, stay there and get vertical with God. Be real with Him. If you’re angry, say it. If you doubt, say it. If you don’t understand why, scream it. Jesus didn’t come for the polished and put-together. He came for the brokenhearted. Give Him your prayer of agony. Be patient. He can redeem what feels unbearable...maybe here, definitely in eternity, which is the ultimate goal. Watch the full conversation: Check out Mark's ministry, Cornerstone of Hope.

I recently had the honor of being at the funeral of Micah Kim, the five-year-old son of my friend Paul J. Kim Paul J. Kim. And I don’t use the word honor lightly. Because while the pain of losing a child is unimaginable…what I witnessed there was just as unimaginable: JOY. At Micah’s wake, Paul stood next to his son’s casket—his little body dressed in cowboy boots—and he pointed and said: “That’s my son’s body. He’s not there. My son is alive.” Paul said they gave Micah the greatest gift a parent can give: baptism. His passport to heaven. And then I watched this family walk down the aisle behind the casket—hands on it, tears streaming down Paul’s face—and his other hand lifted high in praise as we sang Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing. Watch my reflection to hear how Paul's witness of joy in the face of tragedy and Micah's brief life are both tied to the truth of our baptism—that we are beloved children of God and he wants us to live forever with him. In baptism, we are sealed in this identity and receive our ticket to heaven. We just need to lean into his love and let his grace transform our lives. Our days here are numbered. But heaven is real, it lasts forever, and you don't need to prove yourself to earn God's love. Receive it!

God's mercy is faster than a bullet. This was one of the most hopeful things I’ve ever heard. We should never despair of the salvation of someone who died by suicide. God’s mercy isn’t limited by seconds, circumstances, or our understanding. If this topic has ever filled you with fear or unanswered questions, please check out this episode with Fr. Alar of the Marian Helpers. Watch the episode here:

On this feast of St. Therese of Lisieux, watch this amazing story from Fr. Augustine Wetta about when he was an atheist working as a janitor at a monastery and asked St. Therese to give him a rose. The saints are here to help you get to heaven...pray with them! Have you received a rose from St. Therese? Reply with your story! St. Therese, pray for us.

This hit hard. Fr. Leo Patalinghug explains the difference between guilt and shame — and why hiding your sins doesn’t heal you, it traps you. Bring it into the light, and God actually does something with it. Confession isn’t about humiliation. It’s about freedom.

Fr. Meyer officially earned the title Fr. Next-Level. He modeled his bedroom after St. John Vianney’s…and his reason why is incredible. “I wake up every morning knowing who I’m supposed to be.” (I filmed this with Fr. Jonathan Meyer when I was recently in Bright, Indiana. Watch the full video on my YouTube channel.)

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about why the Vatican said we shouldn’t call Mary “Co-Redemptrix.” So in this video, I’m breaking down what that title actually means, why Mary’s “yes” makes her a co-redeemer for all of us, and why the Church chose not to officially use it. In short: the Church isn’t denying Mary’s role in bringing Jesus and salvation to the world...it’s simply recognizing that the title itself can be confusing.
