I keep seeing this trend of photos and videos of women from the ’90s versus today with the Goo Goo Dolls’ song Iris playing in the background. — Here I am in 1998 at 28—before being saved by Jesus—and here I am today at 54. —I would never want to go back. I wore the saddest smile in the world back then. Praise Jesus, my life feels like it’s just beginning. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 What I carried in my heart back then was rejection and emptiness. What I carry now is His peace. “He lifted me out of the pit… and set my feet on a rock.” — Psalm 40:2 I’m grateful for every year He’s given me, because life in Christ is the only place I’ve ever truly lived. Let’s see yours!
