Let's be clear. Measure 120 failed because of failed leadership. Period. While Tina Kotek is skirting blame for soaring gas prices and leaning on outside experts to tell her how to run ODOT, I have a plan on day one to make ODOT accountable to Oregonians WITHOUT raising their taxes.

My plan to solve our homelessness crisis is centered on treatment, recovery and accountability. We can’t get folks off the street and into housing if we don’t address mental health and addiction. Under Tina Kotek’s leadership homelessness has increased by 35% statewide. Her outdated philosophy of housing first has resulted in billions spent on ineffective programs that fail to get people off our streets and into recovery and long-term sobriety. That changes on Day One when I’m governor. Watch my full interview on KOIN News here:

Parents are pulling their kids out of public schools, that’s a red flag. We have some of the highest levels of education funding, but our children still aren’t learning and our schools are some of the worst in the nation. This is Tina Kotek’s Oregon, she’s been falling students and parents, for almost four years, and we’ve had enough. When I’m Governor, we’re going to fix our schools and make sure funding goes to helping kids learn, not failed agendas and ideologies.

Her bio says it all… Progressive Democrat first. Oregon Governor second. Tina Kotek is threatening to yank emergency funding for roads before Thanksgiving weekend because she didn’t get her way. We said no to your stinkin’ tax hike. Accept it. Balance the budget, use the billions you’ve got and govern within the will of the people.

🚨WE’RE GOING TO FEDERAL COURT Once 250,000 Oregonians signed the petition referring Tina Kotek’s $4.3 tax to the November ballot, they took control of this measure and deserve their day in court. This is about continuing the fight to defend the rights of Oregonians. When the government creates rules that silence everyone but those with money or power, there must be a reckoning.

It’s the first day of the 2026 Session and Tina Kotek and her allies in Salem are already scheming to move the transportation tax referendum to the May ballot. The truth is that they are scared to be on the same ballot as their stinkin’ $4.3B tax and fee hike. We should respect Oregonians and let their voices be heard this November.

Tina Kotek is afraid of what Oregonians can accomplish when we work together to push back against her bad policies and costly taxes. If she doesn’t like what voters have to say about her gas tax, she’s really not going to like what they have to say about her leadership this November.

The reckoning is coming. We successfully delayed SB 1599 in the Senate for weeks and now, if the Secretary of State holds to his word, the bill is close to being dead. No matter when Tina Kotek’s $4.3B gas tax makes it to the ballot, these greedy politicians will be held accountable. This is YOUR time.

I grew up in Klamath Falls—a place where people work with their hands and their whole hearts. The politicians back then shut down timber, leaving my family and so many others behind, and they never looked back We spent Saturday’s at garage sales, ate pancakes three times a day, couch surfed when rent went up, and went without when the food stamps ran out. The politicians didn’t care. But we had faith and we found a way. We worked hard and we kept going. We never gave up. These are the values that shaped me and the ones I will bring to my work as your governor. My family deserved better. Your family deserves better. This is my Oregon Story. What’s yours?

I am disappointed but not surprised that once again extreme ideology has prevailed over common sense and public safety in the Oregon Legislature. SB 1573 was a bipartisan bill to ensure that kids who walk to school don’t have to step over needles to get there. It would have stopped so-called harm reduction programs from handing out needles within 2,000 feet of a school or childcare facility. Tina Kotek’s allies in Salem killed the bill today. We shouldn’t misplace the burdens of addiction on kids. Oregon deserves better.

It’s been over a month since Tina’s emergency $4.3B tax-and-spend bill landed on her desk. By refusing to sign the bill, the governor is acting like an entitled dictator willing to disenfranchise Oregonians who are ready to collect signatures and vote down this massive tax package they cannot afford. Costs in Oregon are through the roof and families can’t afford 4 more years of Tina Kotek’s failed leadership: 🚨 4th highest gas prices 🚨 48th in housing affordability 🚨 5th highest food costs 🚨 9th highest income taxes 🚨 5th worst state for jobs Just last week she wrote an executive order that will increase gas prices by $0.20/gallon, raise utility costs, and make it more expensive to build homes. I’ll tear it up on day one.

More taxes, more regulation, and more Tina Kotek is what’s blocking Oregonians from buying a home they love in a neighborhood they want to raise a family in. Tina Kotek set a goal of building 36,000 home/year. But she’s on track to reach less than half that amount, and by her own admission, it’s the best she can do. It shouldn’t take a permit just to get a permit. As your governor, I will cut taxes, not raise them. We will remove red tape, not add costly regulations. We will work to create jobs for home builders, not drive them away to Idaho. Our time is now. Let’s get to work.

$5.7 BILLION. That's how much Governor Kotek's massive tax hike would cost Oregon families. She and her political allies in Salem are doubling down on higher costs at the pump and in registration/title fees when Oregonians can least afford it. They even want to take more money out of your paycheck by doubling the payroll tax This is your chance to make your voice heard and tell these out-of-touch politicians: NO NEW TAXES. Today I stood with survivors advocating for legislation that strengthens sex offender laws to keep victims safe. Governor Kotek on the other hand is proposing legislation that could let thousands of convicted sex offenders off the hook. There is absolutely no universe where a sex offender should have more rights than victims.

Today we announced a transportation proposal that doesn’t increase the cost of living, includes $730M in cost savings, AND ensures that ODOT fixes potholes, plows the snow, and keeps our roads safe. The House Democrats’ plan includes $2B in new taxes, tax hikes, and fee increases that families cannot afford. So, what do you think? Should Democrats raise taxes, or should ODOT tighten its belt? #ORPol #ORLeg

A dozen new taxes and fees is a slap in the face to all Oregonians that simply can’t afford to pay more for less. The Democrats’ tone-deaf proposal throws more money at a system that has repeatedly failed to recognize that its core mission is to provide safe and reliable roads and bridges. Read more:
