Since a trending topic amongst Eagles Twitter right now is top plays/moments in franchise history… The fact that nearly no one else is pointing out Brian Westbrook’s screen TD against the Vikings in the 2008-09 Wild Card game just shows how so many fans forget about or are too young to remember his greatness. Saquon Barkley’s 9 runs against the Cowboys (technically he had 10, but the 10th one was a pass to him that went backwards, so I didn’t count it). I usually don’t get involved in pointless back and forth banter between fans on this app, but I saw this person’s tweet and figured it would be a perfect opportunity to post this clip from Brett Kollmann’s latest video from last week titled “How Accountants Broke the NFL.” It’s an amazingly well done video overall (as usual), and so I highly suggest watching the full version (I’ll drop the link in a reply) in order to fully understand the point that Brett is making here about the Eagles. But if you’re too lazy to take 6 1/2 minutes to watch the clip, then here’s a quick summary: The Eagles have already locked up a good chunk of their core for the next several seasons and will continue to do so beyond 2030. Oh and they’ve already prepared for when it’s time to pay Jalen Carter, hence trading away CGJ. This isn’t even an opinion, it’s the expectation. The whole league knows it.
