Here's Texans QB C.J. Stroud with a not-so-subtle comment about the conservative play calling from his OC (Nick Caley): "We can't just play conservative. We gotta be aggressive and attack and not be 'the attacked'."

"No disrespect, but Joe Burrow is not Josh Allen" "Mike Gesicki is not Dalton Kinkaid" "You have an offense that's looked like it's turned a corner, and a ticked off defense? [Texans] I like those odds" I had a good time with Adam Denn of The Adam Denn Show Pod yesterday! He allowed me the honor of talking Texans vs. Bengals for his 'Game of the Week' segment of the show. We covered: - Immediate fallout after Texans vs. Bills - My perception of a drop in weight class going from Josh Allen and co. to Joe Burrow and co. - Why the Texans are on the verge on going on an early run from weeks 3-7 at least. (and more!) The full episode is available on various social media platforms (below in CS).

Before I start, for those who don't know who chris long is, here's a summary of his credentials: - 11-year NFL veteran (Rams, Patriots, Eagles) - 2x Super Bowl Champion (Patriots, Eagles) - NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year (2018) - NFL All-Rookie Team (2008) Now that we've re-established him as being a more-than-credible voice in NFL analysis--and not just another loud podcast voice--we can discuss this absolute gem of a breakdown of the Texans' missteps in week 2 vs. the Bengals. He effectively articulated and encapsulated everything that anyone with common football sense and football acumen has said about the Texans' offense over the last two years, but in one succinct 2+ minute video. - OC Nick Caley has been a liability, regardless of what HC DeMeco Ryans/GM Nick Caserio tries to say otherwise - Houston's personnel choices make no sense - C.J. Stroud is NOT the problem - Ultimately, the Texans are an upwards trending 0-2 who could turn things around if they lock in. I would love to talk to Chris directly about this on a show if I can, because this video will be in rotation on my playlist all season long. (credit to LARRY-N-STAFFORD LLC for the video)
