Kobe is held to another Standard 🤣 Kareem gets no penalty for winning championships with 2 different Finals MVPs and the GOAT PG. Magic gets no Penalty for winning championships with 2 different Finals MVPs and GOAT Center. Shaq gets no penalty for winning all his championships with the 2nd and 3rd greatest shooting guards of all time. But Kobe's rings get penalty because He played with Shaq, who lost in the Finals before him? The Kobe hate train from social media and legacy media is absolute horseshit. Kobe wasn't allowed to win MVP because he was a 7th seed, Yet nobody bats an eye with Kareem 2 MVPS, while missing the playoffs when he didn't have Oscar and Magic. SHAQ was swept 6 different times. How many of those before he won with Kobe? Kobe's won back 2 back championship w/o a top 75 teammate. Magic and Kareems championships came off the backs of multiple top 75 teammates. Shannon is right about the double standard. The disrespectful as usual from ESPN.

Shaq was the absolute WORST TEAMMATE OF ALL TIME. Matt Barnes tells a story about hall Shaq put Lou Amundson's mouth piece under his nutsack for the entire shoot around... the entire team then watches him put it in his mouth... only person crazy enough to want to fight Shaq was Kobe 😂 Foul as fuck... christ sake #PodcastP #BigDiddy

LeBron went for that signature moment. The Push ✅️ The Pose ✅️ The Shot ❌️ Not quite "Like Mike."

Pau Gasol talks about the 2008 Finals loss to the Celtics, then the Gold Medal loss to Kobe and what Kobe left in his locker 3 weeks after in training camp. Kobe took the advice from Michael Jordan, "You got all the tools... You gotta figure it out. There's no other alternative." Kobe had to turn them all to killers with the same Mentality. No celebrating in the Western Conference Finals after beating the Nuggets in 2009, strictly business, "Job not finished." and the rest is history. Back to Back Championships, ran it back, no ring chasing.

How you win matters, what you do after losing matters. Creating a superteam in an already weak conference in your prime should always be a disqualification from GOAT discussions. Kobe didn't run after losing to the Celtics in 2008, he ran it back and got his revenge in 2010 vs Boston. He won back to back championships w/o Shaq, He won w/o a superteam and top75 teammates, he actually elevated his teammates and didn't make them change up their game. Paul Pierce acknowledges how great Pau was because they ran thru him in 2008 and but saw a major difference in his attitude and mentality in the 2010 Finals. LeBron James here is talking about how great the Celtics were with 4 All-Stars but he had to run to a Finals MVP and another top 5 member of his draft class to start winning rings. Kobe was the opposite and left free rings on the table with Shaq in order to cement his own legacy. This fact alone will never put LeBron above Kobe in the all-time standings.

We saw a 19 Year old Kobe drop 36 on Michael Jordan's head in 1997. Then a 23 year old Kobe drop 55 on Michael Jordan mostly off Jumpshots. Prime Kobe > Prime Jordan just based on the fact that Kobe had all of MJ's moves + more skills on top of it. Enjoy this 16 minutes of Isolation 1v1 plays. Kobe is the king of 1v1 no contest #MambaMentality 🐍vs🐐

"But Austin was wide open" A 38% 3pt shooter passing for the better shot... Guess who is wide open in this clip with Kobe... Bron is playing for that 5th championship, he GOTTA TAKE THE FUCKEN SHOT. Dissappear in the 4th again, just like game 4 in 2011 vs Dallas. Smh

2x NBA Champion Craig hodges talks about the difference between Kobe and Michael Jordan, he goes into detail about how Mentally prepared Kobe was before every game. Kobe already planned ahead knowing he'd have no issue getting past the 1st and 2nd defender, to get to his sweet spot or find an open teammate. One of Kobe's greatest gifts was his willingness to learn. From Craig, Tex Winters etc. A true student of the game who became the master. #MambaMentality #GOAT #1of1 🐍🐐
