Kobe didn't run after losing to the Celtics in 2008, he ran it back and got his revenge in 2010 vs Boston. He won back to back championships w/o Shaq, He won w/o a superteam and top75 teammates, he actually elevated his teammates and didn't make them change up their game. Paul Pierce acknowledges how great Pau was because they ran thru him in 2008 and but saw a major difference in his attitude and mentality in the 2010 Finals. LeBron James here is talking about how great the Celtics were with 4 All-Stars but he had to run to a Finals MVP and another top 5 member of his draft class to start winning rings. Kobe was the opposite and left free rings on the table with Shaq in order to cement his own legacy. This fact alone will never put LeBron above Kobe in the all-time standings.
