Imagine this. 7:30am. Membley, Ruiru. Favour Business Centre just waking up. Two masked men walk into the M-Pesa + gas shop like customers. Next second pistols are out. “Toa kila kitu.” Less than five minutes. Over KSh 600,000. Phones. Car key. Then they jump on a motorcycle heading towards the Northern Bypass. People chase them. That’s when it turns ugly. They spray nearly 10 rounds. Two bullets hit Jackson Maina in the chest and ribs. He drops. Right now he’s in ICU at Kenyatta University Hospital fighting.
