To make sure that you accept a status quo that never challenges power in a way that makes powerful people uncomfortable. You can say no, but you have to say no quietly. You can resist, but you have to do so ineffectively. If you get as violent as the people who've been violent towards you, then you're terrorists.

Maybe even less so than what we... 2,800 Americans die on 9/11. We go on to kill 400,000 people. 2,200 service people in Pearl Harbor. We go on to kill a million and a half Japanese. It really does come down to the word. For me, I just don't think that's an accurate representation of the word and justifies an unnecessary downward spiral of more hate and ultimately more violence.
