This afternoon, retired Army general Stanley McChrystal, former commander of Joint Special Operations Command, spoke at the retirement ceremony hosted by Human Rights Campaign Rapid Response for six transgender service members who were forced out under Trump’s ban. “I shouldn’t have to be thanked for being here. Two months ago at the Conference on World Affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder. I was just stating the obvious. Something we could all see. In the past week, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was murdered by ICE in Houston, TX and Joan Sebastian Guerrero was murdered by ICE in Biddeford, Maine.

As Attorney General of CA, Kamala Harris refused to defend the ban on same-sex marriage and personally ordered the issuing of marriage licenses to same-sex couples when the ban was struck down in 2013.
