When Magic Comes to a Beijing Village, How Do International Magicians Feel? From September 30 to October 7, 2026 the 14th China Beijing International Magic Convention & World University Magic Exchange Conference takes place in Xinzhuang, Changping, Beijing. Magicians from different countries and regions step out of traditional theaters and bring spectacular performances to public spaces across the village. Street magic shows, magic mini-performances, a puppet parade, a magic-themed market, food magic pop-ups… Seven themed sections are spread throughout the village, bringing magic into everyday village life. Over the seven-day event, a total of 217 cultural performances are scheduled, including full-length magic shows, interactive magic performances and parades. All performances during the event are free and open to the public. "The atmosphere here was so much better than working in a theater," said American magician Mike Miller. For him, being part of a magic show in the village was a great experience. He also looks forward to exploring the local market and coffee shops and continuing to interact with the people here. When magic steps out of the theater and into the village, how do international magicians experience this special encounter between magic and village life?

A female bus driver saw a cart on fire by the road. She pulled over, grabbed an extinguisher, and ran straight at it. One canister empty — still burning. She grabbed a second. Fire finally out. Then she got back behind the wheel and kept driving. No cape, no camera. Just a woman who refused to look away. That's power. 🚌🔥👑 Source: weihuizaixian, China Youth daily/ Douyin
