This one led to a lot of discussion in my Coach Education WhatsApp group Which passing option would you want the player on the ball to pick? And Why? Here's a helpful hint. Think beyond the pass by looking at the structure of both teams on the ball, around the ball, and away from the ball

Test your tactical understanding... You are doing performance analysis for the white team, and the manager has asked you to analyse this passage of play to identify why a dangerous free kick was conceded. What information are you telling him? #FridayFun

For some reason, this is one of my favourite finishes ever. This kid was so fatigued after the little ball mastery part, and was under physical stress before finishing. People judge 1:1 coaching, but it really does depend on how you do it

The 5-12 age range is called the "Golden Years" for a reason. Miss this window, and you could be playing catch-up forever. Ball mastery can really help with this.

Great message, it is 100% spot on. But why do we feel the need to stand football players around for nearly 3 minutes of a football training session to deliver it? It is football, not a school classroom

In the adult game, it has been estimated that 75% of 1v1s are with the defender behind the attacker. In my opinion, this vital area of the game is undercoached. Recovery defending is a skill that needs deliberate practice.

Test your tactical understanding... You are doing opposition analysis for a football club. Your team's next game is against the team in blue in the clip. The manager has asked you to identify their shape in and out of possession. What you telling him? Is there anything else you can pick out from the short clip? #FridayFun
