Good morning and where do I start? I’m so proud of the man you’re becoming and I’m so thankful to have you in my life. The first player I met and the first player I had dinner with after I became the receivers coach at Baylor. Yes I’m speaking it into existence but it’s also the feeling I have when I tell you God truly has a calling on your life. The person you are lets me know the lord is and will continue to bless you more than you can imagine. I love you like a son, little brother, nephew, etc…. Played receiver for a big time program like Baylor, played in the NFL, from the great state of Texas but more importantly a GREAT person and man of God. So you have all the tools you need to be successful in this coaching profession but more importantly LIFE! I’m so thankful to be a part of your journey. I’m going to do EVERYTHING in my power with the help of God to make sure you succeed. I told you this and I truly believe it. You’re the next great coach/receivers coach. Wow, Mark Huelsman I’ve never seen this clip or rewatched the game. Thank you but this reminds me of how you never know when your last opportunity may be, so maximize every opportunity. I never played in another regular season NFL game after this. For years I blamed the Steelers but the truth is it start during the draft process. I lost my work ethic because I was irresponsible during the process. Making money and having too much fun. I fell in the draft to the 7th round and I never recovered. Next I lost my confidence and from there my care factor became less. I don’t live in regret but if I knew then what I know now. This is why I’m constantly talking to others about how hard it is to make it but easy to lose it. There are four areas satan will attack to distract you from what God has for you. 1) Family and Friends 2)Financial 3)Job 4) Yourself, such as mentally or physically Not necessarily in this order and not always one by one. The devil will sometimes times attack all four areas at once. Pray, trust in God, fight to smile through it all and keep grinding. Remember a rose doesn’t only grow from the sun but also the rain. The coolest thing for me as a kid wasn’t only finding out my uncle was a professional football player for 11 years but seeing the “Karate Kid” wearing his jersey in the movie. Wes Chandler the great wide receiver to EVER play at the university of Florida! Also a college and nfl receiver coach for years. Taught me to be a man,husband, father, player, coach, protector and provider. If you want to know who Dallas Baker is this is a great example. You’ve made impact on many, such as greats like Peyton Manning. Thank you for the vision and I love you. Because of coach Meyer receiver coaching ability he became a legendary head coach without ever being a coordinator. He coached Billy Gonzales(coach G) in the 90s who also is a legendary receiver coach who coached me in 2005-2007 and is a father figure to me. His Receivers GA at UF was Zach Smith who played for coach G at bowling green and who later became the receivers coach at Ohio State His GA at Ohio State was none other than the legendary Ohio State receivers coach Brian Hartline.
