When arousal happens during sessions, accept it — and let it be okay. That doesn’t mean you need to do anything with it. Let your body respond how it responds (and it’s super common, especially during a practice that’s so freeing, liberating, and healing) Being with your body — however it responds in the moment — is what coming back home to yourself looks like 🧘‍♂️

As someone with a history of receiving unsafe touch, experiences like this remind me that healing isn't just about processing the past. It's about giving your body new experiences that teach it safety. This scene was about pleasure, trust, presence, surrender, and reminding myself that vulnerability and safety can coexist. Start here: Make 1️⃣ choice today for no other reason than “I want to” and “it feels good to me.” This could be going for a walk because YOU want to enjoy the sunset. It might be touching your body as you shower to notice the “good” sensations on your skin. It might be smelling your clean clothes for extra long because the scent is so lovely. Whatever it is, give yourself permission to start experiencing some pleasure today. When you give yourself this time, you’re saying to yourself, “I’m allowed to feel good, and feeling good is safe.” This is how you heal, and this is how you start returning home to yourself.
