Paradise Tower’s #1 fan. Random Doctor Who/Star Trek thoughts originally but I’m on my remedial cinephile arc lately.

Watched Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan in theaters today and now this shot of the Reliant with James Horner’s sick ass leitmotif for Khan blaring is looping in my head

The Master’s “death” in Planet of Fire is so impossible to take seriously, like the way he gets quiet for just half a second before screaming his head off is incredible.

I love this one scene in A Hard Day’s Night- for scarcely a minute, the dialogue stylization goes way up, it feels like a New Wave movie for a moment and the exchange does feel remarkably meaningful for a quick dialogue amongst passing strangers. John acts it surprisingly well.

I have no idea what that droning low B in the chorus of Love You To was produced by- is it an instrument? Distorted singing? Whatever it is it’s such a perfect addition to a brilliant song.

“Yes It Is” feels like it gets rather forgotten in the Beatles discography as a non-album B-side but it’s got perhaps their best vocal harmonies. I also love the change of texture between verses and the bridges

I feel like I enjoy I’m Happy Just To Dance With You a lot more than most seem to. It’s a very simple song with pretty repetitive lyrics, but the energy is fun enough where I don’t really care. The transition from main verse to bridge is just very compelling!
