If there is one mistake Kenyans should avoid in 2027, it is electing Edwin Sifuna President. Presidency is not a debating competition. It requires competence, judgment, economic understanding, accountability and a proven ability to deliver. Sifuna has virtually no presidential track record. Even his record as Nairobi Senator raises questions. He brands himself an accountability champion, yet his conduct around Nairobi County oversight has often appeared inconsistent with that image. Then there is his dismissal of infrastructure as “shiny things.” Constitutionalism matters, but Kenyans also need jobs, roads, water, healthcare, housing, energy and economic opportunity. A President must deliver both good governance and tangible development. The real question is: what has Sifuna actually delivered, and why should Kenyans trust him with the national treasury? Before voting, demand answers on jobs, the cost of living, public debt, infrastructure, service delivery and economic growth not slogans, theatrics and social-media performances. The presidency is too important to be an experiment. Kenyans are already struggling. Vote wisely
