Ezéchiel GAKWERERE, who according to ICG Africa Report N°151 – 9 July 2009 ("Congo: A Comprehensive Strategy to Disarm the FDLR") is among those who "played major roles in leading the 1994 genocide [against the Tutsi in Rwanda]", was handed over to Rwandan authorities today, along with two dozens of his FDLR militiamen. ➡️ Major Gilbert NDAYAMBAJE (a.k.a Castro Rafiki) was also repatriated. Following his surrender in 2016, MONUSCO turned him over to the Government of DRC (S/2016/1102). In September 2018, he was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison by a military tribunal in Bukavu, for the murder & torture of civilians in the villages of Kamananga & Lumenje (South Kivu). ➡️Their capture and handover today provides tangible evidence that the government of Tshisekedi has put into action its threat of "regime change" in Rwanda by integrating into its national army, former Ex-FAR/intarahamwe genocidaires & masterminds of anti-Tutsi genocide ideology, responsible for the ethnic cleansing of Congolese Tutsi since 1994. ➡️This event happens when the international community, its mouthpiece @UN_BintouKeita / MONUSCO in #DRC, under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Lacroix, mandated by the #UNSC, accuse Rwanda of "violating the territorial integrity of DRC", whereas Rwanda maintains existential "preventive defensive measures" at its border with #DRC. ➡️This historical capture of high-ranking #FDLR commanders is evidence that Kinshasa's official support of #FDLR, endorsed by MONUSCO which collaborates with Kinshasa instead of neutralizing #FDLR as its mandate originally states, represent a tangible threat to the security of the Rwandan people, who 30 years ago, were at the verge of extermination at the hands of the same #FDLR genocidal militia. Reportage de TEDDY MAZINA ➡️Nous nous sommes rendus sur place pour vérifier si Rubaya pouvait ou non être considérée comme "la capitale mondiale du coltan". ➡️Dans la première partie de ce reportage, nous remarquons que la soi-disant route qui relierait Rubaya à Goma est en réalité "inexistante", rendant le transport d'une quantité importante de coltan, qui alimenterait tout le marché mondial, et notamment celui d'Apple, impossible. ➡️ Ceci contredit par ailleurs la théorie qui sous-tend que le Rwanda "pillerait" ce minerai dit "stratégique" et "déstabiliserait" le Congo à cause de la mine de Rubaya, en passant par cette "route". ➡️ Dans la deuxième partie de ce reportage, nous irons dans la mine de Rubaya pour vérifier en effet si un pillage de coltan est en cours, dont on accuse le #M23 et le Rwanda. ➡️Nous avons interrogé des creuseurs, des négociants, des exploitants, pour comprendre comment le coltan est extrait, puis vendu, et nous leur avons demandé si le #M23 occupe une place dans l'exploitation de la mine de Rubaya.

The latest declaration of a simulated disarmament signed by #FDLR political leader Victor Byiringiro, defended and carried by Kinshasa's Minister of Regional Integration, Floribert Anzulini, is one among many since the 2005 Declaration of Rome. Byiringiro had signed another one in the presence of MONUSCO on May 30, 2014, as seen below. FDLR has never ceased its armed violence despite all the declarations and remains in Congo, supported by Kinshasa. Indeed, Kinshasa, as part of the Washington Agreement, is tasked to neutralize #FDLR, but chooses instead to serve as the representative of the genocidal force, in the circles of international diplomacy.

Ebuteli pushes Kinshasa's anti-peace agenda in DRC The Kinshasa-based think-tank Ebuteli, led by the American Jason Stearns and the French-German Christoph Vogel Christoph N. Vogel, organized a briefing on Dec 8-9 under the patronage of Patrick Muyaya, spokesperson of the Congolese government. The US ambassador to DRC and EU representatives, were present in the audience. Stearns and Vogel lead a network of anti-Tutsi and anti-Rwanda activists, journalists, and analysts, including the members of the hate group LUCHA 🇨🇩 such as its founder and leader Fred Bauma, who also serves as the Executive Director of Ebuteli. The Congolese “historian” Isidore Ndaywel, known for his extremist anti-Tutsi rhetoric, was also invited by Stearns and Vogel to brief the US and EU diplomats. Pr. Ndaywel has been commissioned by Kinshasa to promote the Genocost campaign, as evidenced in a presentation given at the side-event to the 60th Session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva in September. (Source below) In this presentation, Pr. Ndaywel promotes the Hamitic ideology which led to the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda killing 1 million Tutsi in 3 months. Pr. Ndaywel claims that the Tutsi, invaded Rwanda from Uganda in 1990, led a war of conquest to exterminate the Hutu in Rwanda, and then continued a “Tutsi colonization plan” (theory spread in the hate media Kangura in 1990) in Congo. Pr Ndaywel does not simply here promote the double-genocide denialist theory but he directly denies the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, by reversing responsibility between perpetrator and victim. Ebuteli, in organizing this briefing in Kinshasa, while continuing to promote through its network, a narrative which puts the blame of the DRC crisis on the persecuted Congolese Tutsi communities in North and South Kivu, seeks to sabotage the Washington and Doha peace agreements. Stearns and Vogel while benefiting from Kinshasa’s political endorsement and promoting its political anti-peace agenda, maintain a narrative of chaos which ignores the root causes of the DRC crisis, namely, the 30 years long government-sponsored persecution of Congolese Tutsi.

#DRC #Rubaya #AFC_M23 What is the significance of the Rubaya coltan mine today and how does the mainstream narrative on Rubaya fail to address the root causes of the DRC conflict ? Teddy Mazina's visit to #Rubaya’s Gacombé coltan mine shows an artisanal, locally run operation with thousands of diggers and traders, but no armed men, no uniforms, and no children or pregnant women working in the pits since #AFC_M23 took control of the area, after pushing out the DRC government coalition and the Burundian troops. The mine functions through a clear chain: diggers extract and wash the ore, traders buy and transport it to the market where it’s certified and taxed, and a whole “mining village” economy (families, schools, markets) lives off this activity. Since AFC/M23’s arrival in Rubaya, armed groups like #Wazalendo and the FDNB have left the mine area, order has replaced previous chaos, workers’ daily pay has significantly increased (from about $1 to around $5–10), and AFC/M23 has instructed its own soldiers and cadres to stay out of mining operations. This report disputes the label of “blood minerals”, emphasizing that: (a) there are no soldiers or weapons in or around the mine today, (b) work is voluntary and seen as a livelihood, not forced labor, and (c) children who once worked in the pits have been pushed out by AFC/M23 and are now back in school. Historically, the area and nearby village were controlled by various armed groups, including #Nyatura, #Mai_Mai, and more recently the Burundian army, who profited from the mine, but today security is provided by AFC/M23 without any involvement in extraction. The broader claim that Congo’s current war is driven by Rubaya's coltan which would be "smuggled into Rwanda" is challenged in this report: the conflict is tied to long-term issues like refugees asking to return and ethnicized hate speech, while the coltan here remains, above all, a local resource sustaining a civilian community. #HRW #ConspiTheories #Rwanda The spread of conspiracy theories & hate ideology by Lewis Mudge & Human Rights Watch. ◾️In a recent UK formal session of the Joint Committee on human rights, Lewis Mudge, Central Africa Director at Human Rights Watch supported conspiracy theories targeting Rwanda. ◾️His obsessive attacks targeting Rwanda are part of a larger conspiracy campaign by Human Rights Watch, which has been extensively demonstrated in Richard Johnson's 2013 book The Travesty of Human Rights Watch on Rwanda. ◾️During the session, Lewis Mudge supported the double-genocide theory, which is a conspiracy theory, developed by the perpetrators & deniers of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, which contends that the RPF, the current ruling party which stopped the genocide in 94, allegedly killed hundreds of thousands of Hutu in Rwanda and Congo, following the genocide. ◾️Despite ample evidence that these allegations aren't true, as reiterated by researcher, journalist & expert Linda Melvern, Lewis Mudge & HRW continue to spread the unfounded claims that Rwanda has been committing massacres in Congo since 94. ◾️These false allegations have led to the anti-🇺🇳/🇷🇼/🇫🇷/🇺🇸 demonstrations taking place in several cities in Europe, North America, and Congo and are part of the politically instrumentalized campaigns Free Congo & Genocost (as shown by François Soudan in his recent interview with Jeune Afrique). ◾️Evidence provided by journalists, historians, former French dignitaries, and French military staff, who were deployed in Rwanda & Zaire as part of the TURQUOISE operation, have proved that hundreds of thousands of genocide perpetrators, including leading masterminds of the genocide, had fled from Rwanda into Zaire, and other neighboring countries, as well as throughout Europe. ◾️Yet, Lewis Mudge, in a tweet posted on April 6th 2023, presented those PERPETRATORS who fled into Zaire with weapons, including machetes they used to kill Tutsi, as VICTIMS. The machetes can be seen in the picture Lewis Mudge posted in his tweet. This mirror accusation method, which consists in reversing the roles between victims and perpetrators, was one of the central tactic used by the masterminds of the 94 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda which killed 1M people.
