Delhi Police forcibly entered the CPI(M) Headquarters, AKG Bhavan, in an attempt to arrest SFI leader Aishe (ঐশী). The illegal attempt was firmly resisted by CPI(M) Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas, who forcefully intervened to stop the police from carrying out this unlawful action.

The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) held a strong protest at the Police Commissioner’s Office in Noida on September 3 against the horrific gang rape of a 16-year-old girl and the continuing failure of the police and administration to ensure women’s safety in Greater Noida. On August 3, the 16-year-old girl was gang-raped on a bus by the driver and conductor after being picked up from Pari Chowk, Greater Noida, and was abandoned near Kashmere Gate in Delhi. In another horrific incident, a six-year-old girl was subjected to sexual violence in Jalpura village, Greater Noida, on August 28 and subsequently died. Addressing the protest, senior CPI(M) leader and AIDWA Patron Brinda Karat said that these were not merely tragedies affecting two families, but reflected the collective failure of the Uttar Pradesh Police, Delhi Police and Union Home Ministry. She also condemned the violation of safety standards laid down after the Nirbhaya case, stressing that even public transport is no longer safe for women and girls. AIDWA Gautam Buddh Nagar District President Rekha Chauhan was placed under house arrest by Noida Police from 11 pm on September 2 in an attempt to prevent her from participating in the protest. AIDWA strongly condemned this undemocratic and repressive action. AIDWA submitted a memorandum demanding time-bound and impartial investigation, the strictest legal action against all perpetrators, action against police personnel responsible for negligence, and concrete measures to ensure safety in public transport and public spaces. AIDWA warned that the movement will be intensified if the authorities fail to take concrete steps to ensure the safety of women and girls.

जयपुर कूच: पूरे राजस्थान के ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली किसानों की ऐतिहासिक जीत! राजस्थान के विभिन्न जिलों से बड़ी संख्या में ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली किसान जयपुर कूच पर पहुंचे। किसानों के मजबूत आंदोलन और एकजुटता के परिणामस्वरूप पूरे राजस्थान के ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली किसानों की बड़ी जीत हुई। माकपा पोलित ब्यूरो सदस्य सांसद कॉमरेड अमराराम के नेतृत्व में किसान ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने राज्य सरकार के साथ वार्ता की, जिसमें किसानों की प्रमुख मांगों पर महत्वपूर्ण सहमति बनी। जीपीएस और फास्ट ट्रैक को हटाने पर सहमति बनी। अब कोई भी अधिकारी किसान की ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली को ओवरलोड के नाम पर चालान नहीं करेगा। किसानों को बेवजह परेशान करने वाली व्यवस्थाओं पर रोक लगाने को लेकर भी सहमति बनी। यह जीत किसी एक जिले की नहीं, बल्कि पूरे राजस्थान के ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली किसानों की एकता और संघर्ष की जीत है। सांसद कॉमरेड अमराराम ने कहा कि आने वाले समय में इसी मजबूत एकता को बरकरार रखते हुए पूरे राजस्थान में किसान आंदोलन और संघर्ष को और अधिक मजबूत किया जाएगा।

Trade unionists from across India who are in Visakhapatnam for the All India Conference of the CITU CENTRE protested the illegal US attack on #Venezuela and the kidnapping of elected President #NicolasMaduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. Over 1,500 delegates and volunteers staged a massive, spontaneous demonstration at RK Beach in a powerful show of solidarity with the people of Venezuela. The conference unanimously adopted a resolution vehemently condemning US imperialist aggression and the bombardment of Venezuelan territory. The resolution demanded the immediate release of President Nicolás Maduro.

Bengal Vandalism : On the night of May 5, in Jiaganj area of Murshidabad district, BJP goons attacked and broke a statue of Lenin. Our comrades immediately responded and filed a police complaint. A demonstration was held, following which five were arrested. This morning, our comrades went to the site again. The statue will be rebuilt on May 8th. Comrade Lenin, Long Live!

SFI West Bengal Secretary Debanjan Dey addresses the media after meeting the family of Sheikh Mohammad Mafik, who was attacked and killed by BJP goons in Bankura district, West Bengal, because his son Sheikh Abdul Hafiz had participated in the student-youth movement against NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar and had raised the demand for better facilities in his village school. The SFI delegation led by Debanjan Day assured Sheikh Abdul Hafiz and his family that the student organization will be with them in their struggle for justice. SFI has called for statewide protests against the killing.

CPI(M) West Bengal State Committee members Shatarup Ghosh and Mayukh Biswas, along with Cockroach Janta Party Co-Convenor Ashutosh Ranka and other senior leaders, visited the family of Sheikh Mohammad Mafik, who was brutally murdered by BJP goons in Karishunda village in the Indas area of Bankura district in West Bengal because his son, Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, had participated in the student-youth movement against the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar and had raised the demand for better facilities in his village school. The CJP and the Left have given the BJP government in West Bengal a 10-day deadline: arrest all those involved in the brutal murder and invoke all necessary legal sections against them, including those who have not been named in the FIR; conduct a court-monitored probe into the role of police personnel at Indas police station; provide 24/7 security for the bereaved family; and take concrete steps to build an international-standard school named after martyr Mohammad Mafik. If the demands are not met, a gherao of the District Magistrate’s office will be launched, and the agitation demanding justice for Mohammad Mafik will be intensified.
