Rep. Mike Flood (R-NE01) at Norfolk, NE town hall on the DOJ "anti-weaponization" fund: “I have never approved that. I do not think one penny of any fund should ever go to any January 6th insurrectionist that was in the Capitol on January 6, 2021. I want to be very clear -- I do not think we should be creating a new fund for people that commit physical violence against law enforcement.”

Then-Senator Donald Riegle (D-MI) announced his retirement in Sept. 1993 on the Senate floor: "I lost my dad last year. I loved him very much. He too was in politics and loved public service. I know firsthand how hard it is to lose family hours together when your dad is out campaigning and then never get them back. Harry Chapin's song 'Cat's in the Cradle' has gotten harder and harder for me to listen to." He died Friday at 88. RIP CSPAN

Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), who voted against beginning debate on a Democratic-sponsored Iran war powers resolution for a sixth time this year, announced from the Senate floor Thursday: "I'm not introducing an AUMF today, but if we pass this 60-day mark from the start of hostilities with still a lack of a credible plan and information from the administration, it is something that I intend to introduce once the Senate reconvenes here."
