Kevin Young on AJ’s defense on Milan Momcilovic: “It was unbelievable. AJ can do whatever he wants on the basketball court. Whatever he puts his mind to he can do. That’s their leading scorer and he held them to 1-of-5. AJ played 40 minutes. Didn’t come out, had 29 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 turnovers against a team that’s turnover everybody more than anyone in the country and held their best player to 1-of-5.”

Kevin Young on what Houston was doing to cause turnovers: “Some of it we were driving into crowds for sure, but I'll just cut to the chase right out of the gate. AJ took 10 free throws, Rob Wright took four, and I don't ever go there -- and again, Houston beat us. Stone cold. They won the game. AJ should have shot 20 free throws, minimum in that game. Rob Wright only shoots four free throws. Guy drives every time. And Sharp shoots 10 -- and I'm not saying the officials were, like, oh, we're going to give Houston calls and not BYU. I'm not suggesting that in any form or fashion. I thought they flat-out missed calls, bottom line. And that led to some turnovers, led to some frustration. And so that's disappointing. And, again, I think to your actual question of the turnovers, yeah, we just drove into a crowd too much.”

Kevin Young on if he can put a finger on the first half struggles: “Most our struggles have been execution related. I didn’t think that was the case tonight. It’s hard to over come 9-of-12 from three. You have to give Bryson a lot of credit..I’ve examined it eight different ways to the moon and back. At the end of the day it’s shot making. We’re shooting the three at much higher clip in the second half than we are in the first. That’s something you can’t necessarily fix. It’s more about trying to make sure you’re executing, which tonight I thought we did for the most part in the first half.
