Winter is all settled in and after having a capstar to kill the fleas on him, he (yes, not surprisingly they did not guess this kitten’s sex correctly and he is in fact a boy!) devoured every bite of dinner, and promptly set about the business of going bonkers bonkers with toys.

Busy day today— mama Godiva, of the Sweet Treats kittens, is extremely unsocialized and craves violence against people, so she was returned to her home territory today. The homeowner is going to continue caring for her as he’s become fond of seeing her come &amp; go.

I have a desperate plea— Tori needs a home. She’s been living at another foster for months but is so afraid of their other pets that she hasn’t made any progress. She needs a quiet, one-human home for only her. I know it’s a huge ask but someone’s out there for her. DM for app.

Say hello to our first rescue of 2026, a very skinny little boy from the never-ending Final Fantasy colony. Unlike a lot of these FF colony kittens who have required a little bit of work by the time they are this old, he is apparently so relieved to be in a warm and friendly lap.

I was driving my normal route to work this morning &amp; spied some small kittens creeping across the parking lot of a car repair shop. I pulled in &amp; saw their mom &amp; siblings under an old truck, and made plans to come after work to trap them (with the shop owner’s blessing). EZ Peasy

I’m so happy to say that after being in our rescue for 11 months, both being adopted then returned when their first homes weren’t the right fit, then bonding strongly with each other here in Casa Crits, Satsuma and Chicory are being adopted together at long last!!

I have so many things to do today but I just want to sit in here and pet Fluffernutter all day 😭 I don’t even know how he’s a real creature.

Our number one Christmas wish is for our wobbly cats Ash &amp; Willow to finally have a forever home, after more than a year in our rescue. We know placing cats with special needs can be hard but these two are worth the wait. Learn more about them &amp; apply at

After less than a day in her new home, Molly— now named Ellie— is already blossoming more than she ever did with us in foster. I believe cats choose their people, that older cats especially have a deep understanding of who is safe, kind, &amp; gentle. She’s ready to share her heart.

Yesterday was shitty so let’s start today better. This is Peppermint Patty. She was completely feral &amp; unsocialized in November, now look at her. She loves to cheek rub you &amp; flop into your lap. She’s so happy to show affection she can hardly sit still. Sometimes we do get to win

Please help Ash &amp; Willow find their forever home. They’re our longest fosters, having been in the rescue since September 2023. They are special needs (Ash more than Willow) and we would love to find them a home together. Their vet care is covered for life.

Cat in Temple Hills MD/Eastern DC area needs rescue placement ASAP. Midnight was a cat who lived at the same complex as Ellie. The people who were feeding him moved away recently &amp; left him behind. He turned up thin &amp; injured. Ellie’s adopters took him in &amp; got med attention but—

This incredibly sweet new face is Violet. She’s a lucky member of the No-More-Kittens Club from Sunflower Colony. She’s been living outside, having litter after litter for 3 years. She was so friendly (and hungry) that she put herself right into a carrier, ready for a new life.

Stumpy is all settled in at UPenn for the night and will have a surgical consult in the morning. The doctor that saw him tonight shared our regular vet’s concerns about the possibility he will become incontinent after amputation. We’re hoping the surgeon is more optimistic.
