At the #EndFemicide march, I met many distraught mothers. This is Joyce Nduta. 48 days ago, on 15 April at 5pm, her 5-year-old autistic son, Luther Mwangi, went missing while playing at their home in Dandora Phase 4. She reported this to the police, but for close to 2 months now, they have had no answers for her. Strangely, there was a poster going around on social media saying he had been found, but I can confirm from his mother that Luther is still missing. Please amplify this message to help find Luther. You will never convince our generation that you can ever be trusted, ever again. When young people marched patriotically, wearing Kenyan flags on their backs and raising their voices, you responded with bullets and death. And NOW you have supposedly ‘heard’ and want dialogue? For 20 months you have been speaking, it’s our time now. No more commissions of enquiry, no more multisectoral taskforces, no more reports, no more diverting our attention. If you have heard us, then no more talking—just act. We want to wake up in the morning with budget allocations reworked, with the Appropriations Bill overhauled, your MPs sacked, your Cabinet Secretaries sacked, the wheels of Constitutional amendments to begin turning, and your resignation on Gen-Z's desk for them to decide whether to accept. This will go down in history, and we are no longer in an era where history can be manipulated. #RutoMustGo

Senator Godfrey Osotsi was violently attacked while in Kisumu and is now hospitalized. No one should live with a target on their back simply for who they are or what they stand for. I condemn in the strongest terms possible this premeditated assault and urge the authorities to move swiftly, holding those responsible fully accountable. We must stand united against brutality and protect the safety of all leaders and citizens. #VIP

Own It. Earn It. 123 countries at the UN have just taken a vote to recognise the transatlantic slave trade as one of the gravest crimes against humanity. Yet, much of Europe abstained. The Africa–Europe relationship must evolve from avoidance to acknowledgement. Africa does not want charity — it wants fairness. Trust can only be rebuilt through owning, not abstaining, and the future depends on confronting the past. #VIP

My view is that Members of Parliament are meant to legislate, not implement. The Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has diverted a large number of MPs from these fundamental duties by shifting their focus to constructing roads, hospitals, and other development projects which are used to try and win over voters. The original CDF Act was declared unconstitutional in 2015 for breaching the separation of powers, leading to the revised NG-CDF Act. However, debates continue on whether MPs should be handling these funds at all. The 2022 High Court ruling further questioned the legitimacy of MPs managing these funds, so we await the Supreme Court ruling on the NG-CDF Act this afternoon. Shouldn’t we be moving away from CDF and instead channelling those funds to systemic solutions like free education for all that would eliminate the need for temporary bursaries and provide lasting benefits for every Kenyan child?

Mr. President William Samoei Ruto, PhD, allow me to reemphasise one such idea - the Persons With Disabilities Act 2025. It has been law for almost a year and is yet to be operationalised. Delayed formulation of regulations means people with disabilities, their parents, and caregivers are yet to benefit from this Act. Despite countless efforts, no one is sharing clear information, political goodwill seems to be lost, and this low-hanging fruit continues to rot. "Freedom is never given freely; it is won through struggle” - Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga. Mashujaa Day belongs to you Jowi. Even though you’ve rested, your roar still echoes in the hearts of dreamers, in the soul of this nation. You fought not for power, but for people; for justice, for unity, for a Kenya where every voice belongs, and no truth is ever silenced. You taught us that freedom means nothing without inclusion - that our strength lives in our togetherness. You sowed hope and were our light. I remain jeshi ya Baba. Your courage still inspires, your vision still guides, and your dream still breathes in us. #RailaOdinga #Jowi

It’s official. Cabinet has confirmed that they are knowingly delaying and denying the legal rights of persons with disabilities in Kenya. And if you listened LIVE, you heard the uproar that came from all senators. During the senate Assessment & Planning Retreat, I asked the CS for Health how disability rights are being applied in universal health coverage, how the Ministry is aligning operations with the Disability Act, why assistive devices are still unavailable under SHA, and when the Senate should expect draft regulations to operationalise this Act. The response? That the Cabinet are still thinking about it - that they want to bring the law back and persuade Parliamentarians that implementing the disability rights that we envisioned is ‘controversial’ amongst the Cabinet. No timelines. No plans. No apologies. That response confirms what people with disabilities have felt all along: that disability rights amongst our leaders are still treated as Charity, as a suggestion, as a ‘we’ll think about it’. I’m stunned. #VIP
