During Operation Sindoor, there were reports of a jet going down near Sialkot. Pakistan initially claimed to have shot down an Indian jet, but strangely, that claim was never mentioned again afterward. The videos and image below tell a different story. 1) The first video is CCTV footage from a Pakistani civilian’s home. It clearly shows something large crashing near or on top of the house. If you pause the video at the right moment, you can actually see the exact instant of impact, when fire erupts. It isn’t clear whether it was a plane or a UAV. The footage is timestamped late night on 9th May. 2) The second video is why I believe it was actually a plane that crashed in Sialkot. It’s clearly audible that the crowd is cheering, believing they’ve captured an Indian pilot. Notably, most of the accounts that originally uploaded this video later deleted it. I believe Pakistan captured one of its own pilots after the jet was shot down by an Indian air-defense system, most likely the MRSAM. 3) The third video, also from Sialkot, shows two single-engine jets flying in the sky. I believe these were JF-17s, and that the jet shot down was also a JF-17. 4) The fourth image shows part of the missile fired by the MRSAM system, recovered in Sialkot on the afternoon of 10th May.
