I was adamant. No cats. We now have six. Three came from the Humane Society marked "not adoptable." They follow us around the farm like dogs. Two were abandoned in one of our rentals late this spring and left to die. Now they're family. Then this one found us. She's been living in a wood pile in our backyard, hiding in the hostas and watching the porch where we leave food and water. Tammy went out with treats day after day and earned her trust one step at a time. Here's 15 seconds of a kitten deciding to stay.

I'm a huge BYU fan. I'm also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So when our head coach gets asked about faith on national TV and answers like this, it matters to me. "The gospel of Jesus Christ works in many things. Works in business, works at home, definitely works in football." That's not a talking point. That's a man saying what he lives. Grateful he represents both so well.
