A fan recognized me at Disneyland and came up to me. He happened to be super handsome and I was def about it. After we FaceTimed a couple of weeks after, I was like okay, I am feeling this. I went on a couple of dates with this guy in 2018, and I won’t lie, over the years, I’ve definitely thought about him. Come to find out, his “boyfriend” is his husband… he made it seem like they broke up. After a drunken FaceTime, I find out that they are MARRIED. He told me they broke up but never said that they were legally together. I found out after I stalked them on Instagram AFTER the call. Mind you, I’ve never met his husband, but his husband has me blocked on everything. Given the info, it has to be true because again, I’ve never met the guy. The husband knows that he apparently never forgot about me and that he’s contemplated leaving him to try and pursue me. I didn’t even know he got married… or that they were still together. Oh and by the way, they are still together. I was a little traumatized not gonna lie. 🫨

As a kid, I was in the Boy Scouts for 6 years. My dad was the troop master and I remember the other boys and the parents always being weird with me because of how "gay" or “effeminate" I was. My parents always stood beside me and protected me when it came to who I was or my self expression. I credit them with the confidence that I have today and l am so lucky and appreciative to them. Happy pride month! 🏳️‍🌈
