Browns coach Todd Monken was asked about Cleveland’s possible interest in the supplemental draft in QB Brendan Sorsby, who is seeking an injunction to play college football after being ruled ineligible because of gambling. “I like the quarterbacks we have … I think that's a slippery slope to go down that road. … From my end of it, kind of a tough angle to go down that road and think that that's going to be your franchise quarterback if he's ever eligible to play in the NFL.”

Shedeur Sanders on learning Todd Monken’s playbook: “You could say somebody don’t know how to learn but it’s like, how did the person get all the way to this level if he don’t know how to learn? … Does he not know how to learn or do I not know how to communicate … So I’m just thankful that my coaches now are extremely embracing me.”

Shedeur Sanders said he had an early-morning missed call from Ravens QB Snoop Huntley, who spent time in the Browns’ training camp. “He not just doing that because it gives (the Ravens) a chance… I think the overall person he is, the time that we spent together, he did nothing but speak life into me.”

Carnell Tate said he considered running the 40-yard dash again at his pro day but ultimately decided against it. Tate, a projected top-10 pick, said the 40 can be a bit “overvalued” and cited top NFL WRs such as Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba who didn’t bave blazing 40 times.
