I told y’all, I’m giving the citizens back their voice. We are no longer letting these corrupt politicians speak for us. Now, we speak for ourselves. Rise up, Chicagoans. Take back your city. Let your voice be heard. Let’s go! I went to the community at 51st & Wood, where the recent mass shooting occurred. Seven people were shot, and tragically, two lost their lives. With the blood still on the ground, I spent time talking with citizens, listening to their stories, giving hugs, and showing them that someone cares about what’s happening in their lives. Brandon Gary, who has lived in the area since he was two years old, shared. "I had to call off work. I came outside and saw my brother lying dead." This is a working-class, family-oriented community that is now grieving and searching for answers. While city leaders continue to talk about building a safer Chicago, the citizens told me they are tired of promises and want to see real results. If elected Mayor, I will always show up, support and listen to the citizens, and do my job to help ensure everyone is safe in their communities. A well-known and respected community member, and co-owner of the popular Chemistry restaurant, was tragically killed along with another individual. In addition, seven people were shot in this senseless act of violence. I went to the scene of the mass shooting on 51st and Wood to speak directly with the citizens and hear their concerns. The community was eager to talk, and it was meaningful to show them that someone cares. I wanted them to know that I’m committed to listening and taking action to provide the resources our neighborhoods need to thrive. By addressing violence and supporting our communities, we can help restore safety and opportunity in Chicago. Hearing directly from the citizens was powerful, and I deeply appreciate their openness and trust. I'm giving the citizens back their voice and letting them speak for themselves. Please Share and Make this go viral. The Security Guard at the CBCF Inc. couldn't hold in his HATE for our President Donald J. Trump he said on camera that he wasn't welcome there. We were loading in at the Congressional Black Caucus, the Caucus didnt even start — the ONLY Republicans in the room — and we were discriminated against. Security even told us “President Trump isn’t welcome here and the staff was very rude to us Republicans.” They tried to erase us. Our name wasn’t even on the sheet. It wasn’t on the map. It took just 2 weeks for Donald J. Trump President Donald J. Trump to bring down crime in Memphis , two weeks for residents to finally feel safe again. Meanwhile, Democratic leaders like Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Governor JB Pritzker keep pretending crime is down when we all know it’s not. Let’s be real , when crime is truly down, we can feel it. We don’t need politicians or fake stats to tell us. The people living in these communities can tell the difference. In Memphis, residents are saying their kids can finally play outside again , that’s what real safety looks like. But in Illinois, these same Democrats try to sell us lies while they hide behind security details and gated mansions. Brandon Johnson has over 150 police officers protecting him, and Pritzker lives in his guarded estate , yet they expect us to believe they care about public safety? We're coming for those seats. Listen, Chicago , it's going to take all of us to save this city. The political machine is already preparing for the next mayoral race, and they're going to promise you everything they could have already done while they're in office right now. Most of the people talking about running for mayor already hold elected office. They vote on budgets, approve spending, and have access to information the public doesn't. So where were they when crime was rising, businesses were leaving, taxes were increasing, and Chicago's finances were being mismanaged? Many of them helped create the problems they're now promising to fix. Chicago cannot keep playing musical chairs with the same political insiders and expect different results. Take Lincoln Yards. In 2019, City Council approved a TIF projected at up to $900 million. Some analyses estimate the total commitment could reach approximately $1.3 billion when financing costs are included. Now it's 2026. How much has been spent? What has been completed? What return have taxpayers received? Who benefited? And here's what I don't understand. Susan Mendoza wants to now criticize Brandon Johnson over TIF spending, but she's been in office for years too. Susan Mendoza is the Illinois Comptroller. Her office's responsibility includes processing and issuing state payments authorized by law. If things were so broken, where was the alarm years ago? Why are so many politicians suddenly discovering problems when campaign season is approaching, and their planning on running for Mayor? Chicago doesn't need another machine candidate. Chicago doesn't need another insider moving to a different seat. Chicago needs accountability. Chicago needs transparency. Chicago needs real change. Chicago needs. Hey guys, I was Jim Crowed, according to Chuck Schumer, discriminated against, racially targeted according to the Democrats, and I want justice. The airport made me pay $45 because I didn’t have a REAL ID. I had an ID, but they said I had to have a REAL ID, and they made me pay money. I thought I was oppressed and couldn’t afford to get an ID, so how can I afford to pay a fine because I don’t have a REAL ID? I’m just confused, can somebody help me? Could we get a protest or march going for me? Democrats argued that ID requirements to vote are racist, Jim Crow, discriminatory, or hard for people to afford, especially when it comes to voting, so I’m trying to figure out why I was discriminated against, in a Heavy Democratic city, and State . My point is this: if Americans are required to upgrade to a REAL ID to do certain things, then it makes sense that showing a valid ID should also be required to vote. That’s my point . Chicagoans, I hear you. You’re fed up. But you must vote me in. When I’m Mayor, I will Enforce curfews to keep kids off the streets at night. Hold parents accountable for minors involved in this destructive behavior. Crack down on repeat offenders, arrest those who continue this behavior, and hold criminals accountable. Monitor social media to intercept planned takeovers before they start. Increase police presence in hotspots, including transit hubs, to stop these gathering before they get this big Hold event organizers responsible for damages and public safety costs. I understand that these elected crooks have stolen the money that should’ve been invested back into our communities. Kids are left with nothing positive around them, and then the same politicians act surprised by the results. That’s why I will expand youth alternatives like mentorship programs, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, job training and trades, arts, safe recreational spaces, and sports involvement programs to give kids a better path and real opportunities. I spoke at Daley Plaza yesterday, and while I was speaking, it came across the news that people were being shot and a smash-and-grab was happening in real time. They denied us entry into the budget meeting and made us stay downstairs. When they finally let us upstairs, the meeting had already started, and they didn't allow public comments, completely violating our right to participate in a public meeting. We went to the Congressional Black Caucus setup for tomorrow and was discriminated against , by the party who claim to fight for Democracy. After that, we pulled into Target. As we were getting out of the car a traffic controller who was standing right by our car. Saw our shirts and hats and loudly said, “we don’t fuck with Trump here.” Mind you, we don’t know him , we didn’t speak to him , we were simply exiting our vehicle. Someone called the police to report him . For people to feel comfortable saying and harassing folks like that because they’re brainwashed is ridiculous. Citizens are concerned. Chicago police responded to a welfare check Tuesday night in the 6800 block of South Perry Avenue in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood after an 18‑year‑old’s mother received a distressing phone call from someone in Venezuela claiming her son had been kidnapped. Body Discovered With Hands Tied Behind Back. Officers found Cristian Jose Rojas Barrios, 18, shot multiple times , in the chest and leg , and lying face‑down in a bathtub with his hands tied behind his back. Three 9 mm shell casings were found near his body. The Cook County medical examiner ruled his death a homicide In South Shore, three women were shot execution-style in an alley. Federal authorities later arrested an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member in connection with the murders. Chicagoans also remember the horrifying South Shore Drive case where a illegal alien murdered another illegal alien, and allegedly hid the victim’s body in concrete inside a building. Enough is enough. As Mayor, I will be TOUGH on crime. My administration will focus on preventive measures, not reactive ones. End sanctuary city status. Work directly with the federal government and federal law enforcement agencies. Lock up repeat violent offenders instead of releasing them back onto the streets. Fully support our police, but hold them accountable. Establish a Retaliation Prevention Task Force to stop cycles of violence before they escalate. Revamp CPD homicide and detective units. We must solve crimes. Expand intelligence-sharing with the FBI, DHS, ATF, and U.S. Marshals. Increase community tip programs and youth intervention programs, such as recreation, sports, job training, trades, mentorship, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and alternative education/methods. Chicago… this just happened on our North Side, at Swedish Hospital. Two police officers shot… at a hospital. A place where people go for help, turned into a crime scene. And recently, a 23-year-old man was stabbed in the neck while walking near Grant Park in downtown Chicago. This is NOT normal. This is what happens when leadership fails, but tries to gaslight you with fake crime stats. People can’t even walk safely. Hospitals aren’t even safe. Chicago, we have a serious problem. As your future mayor, I will restore order, back our police, be tough on crime, and make Chicago safe again, just as I’ve always advocated for the safety of Chicago citizens.
