Ek sien die EFF het "Kill the Boer" voor die hekke van Kleinfontein gesing. Hier is makabare dinge in SA aan die gang. Hoe kan jy na 'n woonbuurt opruk waar lede van 'n minderheidsgroep woon en sing dat jy hulle wil doodmaak? Dan is daar nog die leuen dat "Kill a Boer" 'n "anti-apartheidsliedjie" was en wat dit daarom in 2025 sou regverdig. Daar is nêrens in Engels enigiets op die internet wat nie dié stelling in die eerste reël bevat nie. Maar Peter Mokaba het dit in die vroeë 1990's begin sing toe "apartheid" reeds verby was en De Klerk besig was om die mag aan die ANC te oorhandig. Indien enigiets, verteenwoordig "Kill a Boer" dus die volkslied van die Nuwe Suid-Afrika, wat die onverdraagsaamheid, rassisme, diskriminasie en haat van dié bestel uitdruk. Met "apartheid" het dit net mooi niks te make nie. As mense die woord "apartheid" hoor, kry hulle lyk my 'n breinfloute en kan nie meer helder dink nie.

Another day, another water protest in Johannesburg. No water. That is what you call "democracy and human rights". What strikes me is how poor and downtrodden these white protestors look. They are barely getting by. Under Afrikaner rule, South Africa was the 20th biggest economy in the world. We had water and electricity in abundance, more railways than Great Britain, beautiful highways and roads, opera houses and theatres, state hospitals where we did the first heart transplant. Now we are part of the third world. The railways and the post office are now more. The roads are full of potholes and the hospitals are dirty and malodorous. But hey - as in the former Soviet Union - we have "equality". In our hopeless media the journalists and sycophants of the regime literally write: "We all suffer equally." More than seventy people are murdered every day, more than the annual number in many other countries. But we have to be grateful to our leftist, Afro-Marxist rulers for allowing us to live. At least until some hijacker points a gun at your car window or there is a shootout at your local shopping centre.

Some people took pictures of this sick owl, which prompted this man to catch him with a shopping bag. The owl was then taken to a veterinarian to be examined. I know there is also an owl sanctuary here in the north of Johannesburg. Apparently he has already been treated for an eye and beak infection and will hopefully make a full recovery, to be released into the wild or the not-so-wild. We share the city with a lot of other species and should be respectful towards them. We also need the owls to keep the rodent population in check.
