Crazy day. Forward Hospitality Group holiday party tonight (hospitality groups can’t have holiday parties when everybody else is booking their venues for their own so have to do later). Anyway, every year we book a surprise performer for the party. Today I woke up to a call that the guy we booked for tonight, not naming names, Soulja Boy, was having a bad day and missed his flight. (For context, last year we booked Sean Kingston and like a week later he got indicted) anyway again, he then missed another flight and I knew it was gonna be a cancellation. Had to pivot. Couldn’t disappoint our staff that flew in from all over the country only to freeze their asses off in coldest Floridas been in 30 years. So we phoned in every favor and I somehow pulled a horseshoe out of my ass and convinced Rick Ross to fly in, perform, and fly out. He’s the fuckin man. Crushed it, so much fun

On Wednesday, Tomorrowland’s main stage burned down and there were fears they’d have to cancel the festival. But of all people, Metallica was generous enough to lend their entire WorldWired tour stage rig that was nearby in Austria. And now, 36 hours later, the festival opened gates on time, and people are loving the improvised setup. Beautiful story #Tomorrowland2025

Got to dust off the headphones and return to the old stomping grounds last night. DJ’d for all the familiar faces who made history and broke the curse back in 2016. Was an honor, and so awesome to see everybody. The last time I was in this clubhouse, I was trying to dj while champagne sprayed everywhere and I was under a tarp (last slides). What a year.

Just saw The Wizard of Oz at Sphere and it lives up to the hype. Absolutely unreal. Multiple rounds of applause in the middle of the movie. Kids screaming like we were on a roller coaster. Picture is only surpassed by the sound. Seriously insane. Do not understand the people saying it was nothing special. They can’t have a pulse. Before the show started the concession stand staff said they’ve seen it 50 times now, and still think it’s the greatest thing ever. When the lights came on, everybody in the place was smiling and clapping. If you have kids you gotta take them. I really hope reworking classic movies for the sphere becomes a trend because it was a lot of fun. (These videos do no justice. There’s real wind blasting us and leaves flying everywhere and your seats shaking. It’s crazy. The sound can’t be described in words)

They automated the ruler- and not the guess. Why? My point stands. It’s to maintain plausible deniability. Look it up)

I always thought Noel Gallagher was the bigger asshole. But after experiencing the first two nights of Oasis’s long road to reunion, I finally get it. And I sympathize. I always find myself thinking about the famous quote from “A Bronx Tale”, when DeNiro grabs his son Calogero in frustration and says, “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.” I’ve always felt that. I’d even take it further- the saddest thing in life is wasted potential. Watching someone with all the tools fck up. Not because they aren’t good enough, but because they can’t get out of their own way. It is absolutely brutal. It’ll drive you insane. For years, I thought Noel was just a miserable, stubborn, insufferable cunt. But this weekend it clicked. Liam Gallagher put on one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen or heard in person. twice. All eyes were on him. All the pressure in the world. And he didn’t just rise to the occasion. He obliterated it. He was locked in. Clear. Loud. Coherent. Present. Charismatic. Unrecognizable in the best way. We finally saw the Liam that Noel’s probably seen his whole life. And for the first time, it made sense why Noel walked away 16 years ago, and why he was so reluctant to come back. This isn’t just one of the greatest rock & roll stories ever. It’s one of the greatest human ones too. Proof that no matter how deep the resentment runs, there’s always a shot at redemption. At forgiveness. At getting it right before it’s too late. I love this band.
