I know it’s just glorified white collar boxing, but this clip made me feel really proud . A week ago I headlined Misfits Boxing against Joey Essex this was the last round. Wanted to share these moments of men together, believing they could do something, led by Stuart Lammers. A man who helped save my marriage, my life, taught me to fight, rebuilt me when I was on my knees broken. Coming back to the corner after the 3rd I told Stu “I’m done, I’m finished, I’m f%^&ed.” I was broken, felt like I had absolutely nothing left. He tells me the mind gives up long before the body. It’s lying to you. He still expects us to work when we’re broken. That’s how you find out what you’ve actually got. Men need other men around them. A proper tribe. Blokes who sharpen you, push you, give you confidence and make you want to be better. There’s real power in that. We’ve all got heart in us, most of us just need to find it. You need to find it. I’ve been through the addiction, the mental health battles, the times when everything felt too much and I’ve sobbed feeling weak and pathetic. But the people who go through life’s proper struggles, the dark days, the mental health stuff, and still keep fighting to get better they’re some of the strongest people out there. When I watch this back I’m inspired by the man I see. I’m proud of him. If you’re struggling, that’s what you need right now – something to be proud of. You’ve got fight in you. Don’t give up. Give it everything you’ve got. Show heart.

Apparently I’ve relapsed & I’m doing shows off my nut. I’m not letting anyone dictate how people perceive me anymore, especially when they’re trying to paint me as some kind of fraud and liar. If I relapse, you’ll know about it because I’ll tell you, I’ve got nothing to be ashamed about. I’ve been arguing with this guy in DM’s he admitted his friends just suggested to him I might be off my nut and if he’s wrong, he’s sorry, I gave him the opportunity to delete his tweet as I diddnt want to waste my day posting this but he won’t. Pure Clout Chasing.. The internet is filled full of people trying to just destroy others. I ain’t having it.

Today I celebrate four years sober, after the emotions of this weekend watching that video completely broke me, I’ve just sat on my bed crying for 10 minutes, it’s been a hard journey, but it’s giving me some amazing rewards. It’s hard to find the words for something like this that’s so personal, but my sobriety means my kids finally have their dad fully present instead of blurred by benders, my family has a man who shows up instead of escapes, and I’ve built a life I no longer want to check out of, because the peace, pride, and purpose I get from being there for them beats anything drink or drugs ever promised. And just look at what I’ve been able to achieve in just four years of sobriety, 2 more babies, a happy wife, boxing, films, tours & happiness. It’s been worth it, if it’s currently got its teeth sunk into you, you do t need it, it’s just a habbit, a coping mechanism, out what you’re trying to escape and confront it. Don’t wait, don’t lose any more of your life, there’s so much more out there for you ❤️

Thank you for all the support & comments after my fight last night with Joey Essex on Misfits Boxing . I’m emotional because I know what EVERYONE around me had to put into the last month for that fight, my coach, sparring partners, the gym, my team, my friends, the in-laws & my amazing wife. Taking that on 3 1/2 weeks notice, being older, less fit and clearly the underdog became a real mental battle. But those battles in my head luckily I’m very experienced in. If you’ve gone through struggles in your life and in your head, you are equipped with strength you don’t even know you have. And it fell on world mental health day. SessionsTheFilm is out Nov 26, premiere released next week! I’ve missed the kids terribly, & I’m tierd, but proud. I really hope it inspires someone & people can see I gave it my all, all I wanted to do was showcase some good boxing and a big heart. You are stronger than you think.

I’m glad both myself & Joey Essex tried to shown some respect & class here ahead of our fight Saturday! Although this is just a white collar exhibition boxing match, this is a big platform & a lot of kids watch these shows. And if I’m honest, some of the behaviour that’s been coming out of Misfits Boxing lately hasn’t been a great representation of boxing. I hate the idea that there’s a generation of kids that think they can make it by doing negative horrible things for clout. People in gyms up and down the country are in there every day, focused, sparring, cutting weight, doing the hard rounds nobody films, much better boxers that deserve this platform much more but don’t have the “following”, we need to respect them & do it properly. Anyone who’s got the bottle to step through those ropes deserves respect. We’re representing our gyms, and hopefully we’re going to do it the right way. Shout out to Playbook Boxing for this bit of content! See you Saturday 👊🏻

Just had my 3rd daughter, yes, me, the guy that got thrown off TV 10 years ago for being mysoganistic now has 3 daughters. Sweet, poetic, karma, & I wouldn’t have it any other way. Nothing teaches men about how precious women are & how dangerous the world is for them more then making them dad’s to daughters. From Lad To Dad. Welcome to the family Sage Bridie Delilah O’Reilly ❤️

This is the moment the man who posted the clip that got me cancelled ten years ago came up to me and apologised. In 2014, my career tanked overnight after a clip from a gig—me reacting to the press calling my TV show a “almanac for r*pe culture"—got posted online, twisted out of context. A woman shouted her friend was "gagging for a r*pe,” I repeated it, but the clip they showed, only showed my part. That was enough. Its taken over 10 years to get back, The press branded me a “pro-r*pe" comedian, the public bought it, and it was hell. My humour as Dapper Laughs was too much at times, sometimes misogynistic, but I wasn’t evil. A petition with 60,000 signatures killed my ITV2 show and tour and brand deals. I lost everything—money, career—hit drugs and booze hard, lost my dad, and nearly ended it all a couple of times. All from one joke some lad posted. Then here we are, at a gig, that same lad approached me, nervous, to apologise. It’s weighed on him. I caught it on my vlog—you could see the relief hit him as he let it all go. That mess didn’t just ruin me; it hurt my family, friends, and fans. Worse, it felt classist. Big-name, well-connected comedians said worse but got a pass—right background, right accent. Right connections. No issue. Me? Working-class, rough-edged from a council estate and sounding to dumb to be able to create characters, be satirical or write jokes was easy to destroy. Some of those comedians who signed the open letter to cancel me or wrote hit pieces against me, even comedians I admired, later faced their own cancel scandals. I could’ve hit back, but I don’t. I own my screw-ups, truly believe in comedy and free speech, and think we should learn, not burn, from our mistakes. I’m past bitterness. Sobriety taught me accountability. That lad’s apology showed guts—facing shit head-on lifts the weight. Lesson: talk, own it, move on. To everyone who buried me? I’m still here, stronger than ever doing my 60th sold out tour show tonight, I appreciate the motivation 🙏

It’s been some 6 months. It’s tough to look back on & see the state I was in, especially when I thought I was having a good time. The clarity from sobriety can be painful when you look at clips like this. Using drink & drugs to cope isn’t a problem till bad life experiences or trauma hit you & you want to escape all the time. But, once you know it’s a problem you can start to fix it, you just got to change your mindset. My dad would be proud. #6monthssober #sober #sobriety
