If you want an alternative to dressing up for this year's #WorldBookDay, why not ask kids to draw something by their favourite illustrator? You could create a 'gallery' and get them to talk about why they like that particular artwork. Celebrate both illustrators and writers! 🤩

I was working with a Yr 5 class recently, and one of the girls gave me this little parcel. I tucked it in my bag and said thanks, but didn’t open it until I got home. Inside was a note . . . and . . .

I shared these little monsters last year and they proved very popular. They are based on one of the mask-making ideas from my book, just smaller. One cardboard tube, and using as much of it as possible. They look great lit up *don't use candles though 😁😅

I shared this Poppy idea a couple of years ago, and I know it was pretty popular, so here it is again. All you need is an egg box, PVA glue, &amp; paints. 🙂 *You could get more than one poppy out of each egg box if you attached them to a cardboard base. 👍

Last weeks Ancient Egyptian project was a lot of fun, so I thought I’d share an old trick of mine for making a simple Pharaoh from one piece of card. 👍

These ‘Tube Houses’ are another of the recycling projects I’ve been playing around with. The challenge, to use every part of every tube, with nothing going to waste. Pure making. 🙂
