The Allegheny River is already covered in snow in #Pittsburgh as the snow is starting to get heavier in downtown. I know that it’s supposed to be even heavier than this later this morning, but so far I’ve been able to get around easily and the views have been amazing.

Now the Mon River in #pittsburgh is beginning to get covered in snow as it falls atop the ice. Really cool to see a barge cutting through it. Roads have been decent, tons of plows out. Huge thank you to public works and PennDot clearing them as fast as the snow is falling.

I’ve been capturing #Pittsburgh for a long time and this is the first time I think I’ve ever seen the river come over the wall above the dock on the North Shore. The rivers rose another two feet this afternoon, putting it currently at 26.5’. Really incredible to see.

Going on 28 hours without power in the South Hills, but I had enough battery on my computer to put together the timelapse of the storms moving into #pittsburgh yesterday. That shelf cloud formed so fast, and I was back at my car seconds before the wind and rains hit. Just wild.

This morning on my run through #pittsburgh I heard a train coming as I was running up the off to the Ft. Pitt Bridge. Stopped to grab a quick video, and the lights from the train and city made for a pretty cool scene.
