I could show you a catalogue of moments where Saka isn’t even looking for Gyokeres in the box. His instinct is to cut back and shoot. He sees himself as the main man at Arsenal, and rightly so, but football is still a team game. You could see Gyokeres’ frustration yesterday when Saka didn’t put the cross into his path. Those are the sort of situations why we signed him. It’s something Arteta needs to find a solution to. Maybe moving Saka to the left forces him to cross earlier and attack the danger zone.

His movement drags a centre-half out of position, leaving Saka free in the box instead of being double-marked. I’ll say it again - we open teams up far more with Gyökeres leading the line. Defenders are constantly worried about his runs, and that creates space for others to exploit. I’m not giving up on him just yet. It will click. Only gripe here: Saka probably should’ve chopped inside and whipped it. Fine margins.
